Is there a possibility to change icon forums( ips v.4.54), the default one (I think is a rendered icon from font fontawesome-webfont) with my own one , but with one step modification.

If there was an image/icon file default for forum It was simply all  I had to do overwritting that file wih my own, but I think it is rendered from the font.

I waited a whole day so I'm stuck with it, I cant delete also this configuration path.

Now I have 2 configuration paths :

/home2/public_html\uploads

/home2/public_html/uploads

But I can;t delete wrong one.

 

 

Ignore the reply, It worked after loading some pages in Admin Cp(I know, strange) , the only problem is that in my configuration storage settings still remain the wrong path," /home2/public_html\uploads" can;t delete because of that error

Any idees , how can I get rid of it?

Where do I find that settings in Admin Cp, cant find?

I found in System=>Support "Server Path    /home2/public_html " and the path is correct.

Sorry but my live search in Admin Cp is unfunctional because of this issue.

PS: I found it , in System=>Files => Storage Settings you were right I had /home2/public_html\uploads

I forgot to mention, that the upgrade was made locally on my computer and then transfered to my online host, all the files and imported mysql database.

On my computer I have no issue regarding this, all the icons and images appears.

If that doesn't. Go to theme, and create a new default theme and set it to default.

I went there but didnt find "Clear cache" , I did instead "find a solution" and it gives me that message : "Sometimes badly cached data can cause problems. We have cleared all cached data.".I think was cleared but with no effect still have no images.

I think is not related also with theme because I have this issue also in Admin CP.

I encounter this problem ,all the images/icons from buttons, forums etc are not loading , also live search function from admin control panel , and hovering over on the member name doesn't load the profile status.

Am I missing something?

Hi,

I updated my old forum ips 3.2.3 to 3.4.9 then to 4.5.4.

All the upgrade process was fine except my links to forum categories , apps (downloads, gallery etc) doesn't work, it gives me this error " Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server." the system try to find a physical file instead of processing and loading the forum content from the database.

The links in browser appears like that http://mydomain/ips454/files/ (for downloads) and for forum   http://mydomain/ips454/forum/54-my_forum_name_category etc.

It seems to me it is some kind of settings I miss, somwhere, in order to do the magic with the links to work properly.

 I noticed that behaviour after I updated from 3.2.3 to 3.4.9

Please can someone help me with this?

A possible feature in the next version?
It would be nice for admin to have abilitty, when he creates a new forum to mark this with an icon "new", also setting the period of time displaying to public that icon, or/and to set on/off displaying "new" icon.
It's very handy for the public to see and find fast trough the icon "new", the recent created forums from board.

It would be nice to have this feature.

I suggest implementing vertical drop-down menu navigations links instead of 1 main row horizontal navigation bar.
It would be nice having this feature, because we can manage better the horizontal space and also grouping the navigation links.

There is a possibility in future version to have this feature or there is a possibilty doing this right now?
Using anchor(meaning a specific place in the middle of your post) we can create a bookmark inside a post;very useful when the post is too long and you want people find fast the text you want to read, not wasting time.
For example:
If I want someone to read a little a fragment of text from a post, I put that anchor on the begining of the text and then I give him the link with anchor pointing that text.

Change the webhost :D , it's a problem with server configuration or doesn't have all the requirments for ipb, not with soft ipb.
To me is working just fine.

It would be nice to have in the block "Recently Added Topics" near the title topic also the title forum, so the user can navigate fast in the forum where the topic was posted.

Me too. I wanted to open a topic based on this with a modification request, but I think is most welcomed to be implemented in the core of ipb.
We have "Recently Added Topics" hook implemented why not posts, too?

There is a possibility to change the system of displaying the navigation links.
When you have many links in the horizontal bar, it's annoying to see the links that dont fit in it, going down, barely visible, not being in alignament with others.
Maybe a drop-down menu or other system rather than a simple alignament in a horizontal position of the links.

It would be nice to have possibility in ACP to set a prefix/sufix topic for forums like in IP.Downloads when you upload a file,in the autogenerated topic you can set a prefix or sufix: the title of the forum where is posted or your custom prefix.

If there is a modification already made please tell me!

From this cause I disabled using Portal system.
It's awful to see those pinned topics everytime especially when you have lots of pinned topics.
Please give us a setting to get off those pinned topics from the main page of the Portal.
