  1. It appears there were some crazy characters in the database after the characterset conversion, causing all sorts of troubles trying to install any add-on. That actually got fixed by LazyLoad (suggestion by Invision Support), and thereafter I could install it without a problem. It works just fine now :). Kind regards, Wim
  2. Well, I just managed to fix it - it appeared it didnt like the classifieds directory in the'forum directory. It required a few uninstalls and reinstalls, some database tweaking, and some manual re-input to get it working again, but it does appear to work now :). Thank you for taking the time to reply, much appreciated! Kind regard<s, Wim
  3. Ok, tried to contact InvisionHQ, which is impossible it seems. Anybody an idea on how rot reach him atall? Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Wim
  4. Well, I bought it, and it does not work right now in 4.5.4, not at all - goes to the dirrectory, and that's it. Anybody having an idea? Kind regards, Wim
  5. Ok, I thought I'd give that a try, regardlkess, without disabling other 3rd party resources. Essentially I removed the out-of date version from the ACP, next removed the old code from the server, and then installed the new version. It threw a no permission error. However, when checking the applications, it was there, approximately in the middle of the app-llst, disabled, completely lined up to the left. Clicking on Permissions allowed me to change permissions, and after saving it disappeared to the uninstalled add-ons section. I could then install it, and it works! Lost all data, however, but at least it is installed now, and appears to be working :). Kind regards, Wim
  6. Thank you, Adriano. I will have to do that at an opportune time tomorrow, as we only went live again an hour or so ago - a month after we went offline .... I'll keep you informed here. 🙂 Kind regards, Wim
  7. Hi Adriano, I cannot upgrade from the 3.4.8 version to the one for 4.5.4. I left database tables and software installed intact, in the hope of an upgrade including data. The error message I received is as follows: ../forum/admin/?app=core&module=marketplace&controller=marketplace&do=install&id=8875&type=install&csrfKey=de5885bca773257391db2887b63864be&confirm=1 Missing: /applications/trackmembers/Application.php and backtrace: #0 /home/fpnadmin/public_html/forum/system/Patterns/ActiveRecord.php(148): IPS\_Application::constructFromData(Array) #1 /home/fpnadmin/public_html/forum/system/Application/Application.php(252): IPS\Patterns\_ActiveRecord::load('trackmembers', 'app_directory', NULL) #2 /home/fpnadmin/public_html/forum/applications/core/modules/admin/marketplace/marketplace.php(812): IPS\_Application::load('trackmembers') #3 /home/fpnadmin/public_html/forum/applications/core/modules/admin/marketplace/marketplace.php(240): IPS\core\modules\admin\marketplace\_marketplace->_installApplication(Array, '/tmp/IPSMPFAFPy...') #4 /home/fpnadmin/public_html/forum/system/Dispatcher/Controller.php(90): IPS\core\modules\admin\marketplace\_marketplace->install() #5 /home/fpnadmin/public_html/forum/applications/core/modules/admin/marketplace/marketplace.php(40): IPS\Dispatcher\_Controller->execute() #6 /home/fpnadmin/public_html/forum/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(152): IPS\core\modules\admin\marketplace\_marketplace->execute() #7 /home/fpnadmin/public_html/forum/admin/index.php(14): IPS\_Dispatcher->run() #8 {main} I have also tried removing the old application, from ../forum/applications_addon/other/ , but that resulted in the Marketplace greying out and no further action. Could you please tell me how I can go ahead and upgrade to the 4.5.4 version, ideally with the old data intact, or otherwise, if that is not possible, to upgrade at least to the latest version? Thank you very much in advance! Kind regards, Wim
  8. Hi Runar, I just upgraded from 3.4.8 to 4.5.4, and that obviously is where it is goign wrong. It happens with all plugins I am trying to install, and most apps. It could eb caused by teh fact that the datbase was not properly cleared prior to the conversion and upgrade due to a smallisgh databse crash which made it impossible to access the ACP and clean out all old versions of add-ons. Trying to get a handle on that now, will get back with an update as soon as I know more. Kind regards, Wim
  9. Very kind of you. However, if I run Install, it actually throws an error, and gets me out of the ACP to the forum This: Sorry, there is a problem The page you requested does not exist Error code: 1S160/2 Any advice? Kind regards, Wim
  10. Thank you, Adriano. I managed to fix it myself. We had a (smallish) database crash, and as a result we upgraded from MariaSB 10.0 to 10.1, which appeared to fix it, so then to 10.2. However, as the ACP then became unavailable we could not deinstall old apps - that seems to have been the problem. I managed by deleting tables, the directory, and the configuration settings manually. Just that I now need to set it up all over, and that we lost historical data. It is what it is :). At least it is installed now. Cheerio, Wim
  11. Hi Adriano, We used it extensively on 3.4.x, and only just upgraded to 4.5.4, which was successful. However, when clicking the Install button in the Marketplace from our ACP we unfortunately get the following error message: "There was an error installing the resource, please submit a support ticket for further assistance." PHP 7.3, MariaDB 10.2, CentOS 7, IPB 4.5.4 Any suggestions? Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Wim
  12. Sorry to hear that. I hope Zivs'suggestion will help. Kind regards, Wim
  13. Gives an error message when I try to install it. Using 4.5.4, PHP 7.3, MariaDB 10.2. This is the error: Sorry, there is a problem The page you requested does not exist Error code: 1S160/2 This is after clicking the Install button. It throws me out to a page on my forum and does not stay in the ACP either. Any advice? Kind regards, Wim
  14. Basically, went throught the Support option, executed it, and all was fine again. Just wonderign whether you tried that, because it wasn't clear to me whether you did or not. From the ACP: System - Support - Something isn't working correctly and you should have a button to execute there if it finds something wrong. Worked for me. HTH, kind regards, Wim
  15. Ok, my problem was resolved by going through the Support option, and having it fixed automatically. That did the trick. Kind regards, Wim
  16. Try to set up a cron, as indicated in System - Settings - Advanced Configuration. I had a lot of external links upon the upgrade I just did from 3.4.8, and that fixed the problem, over a period of a little more than a day, and that was for 4.3+ million posts. HTH, kind regards, Wim
  17. I ahve the same problem now. I added file storage directories on server and in files, selected teh new storage directories, amongst others one for themes - and I know I set all owners and permissions correctly. Next I added a few blocks, for the bogs a.o., and it complained about nogt being able to get the blog entries themselves, stats no problem, but latest entries not. Next I started editing the blog categories, in teh ACP of course, and changing some of the blogs to other categories. After that I did a refresh on the public side, and all css was gone. It has bene liek that for a few hours now, and whatever I do, it does not appear to come back as it should. Cleared cache iof browser and of the site, to no avail. Currently rebooting the host to see if that fixes it. Kind regards, Wim
  18. The utf-conversion went well, I also updated the gallery name in the database wherever it occurred, and renamed the gallery directory accordingly - we had problems previously with that, as the gallery directory name was "gallery" 🙂. Currently running the upgrade, with add-on directories removed, and everything else that is no longer relevant, but with add-on tables still intact - we'll see how that goes. Kind regards, Wim
  19. Well that is what I tried to do, but it backfired regardless. With some tweaking I am running the utf8 conversion right now, so with some luck I will be able to get going again in a couple of hours time. Fortunately I do not give up all that easily ;). It is just that I am no expert at anything when it comes to Linux and related stuff, which doesn't help, but I do manage with a couple of deep dives every now and then. This month I won't have to do anything else anyway, so I just plod on, until everything works as I want it to :). Trying to keep down time to a minimum but with the extra complications we have been down for a day amd a half now, and another day at teh beginnign of the weekend. The utf comversion will run for several hours, and teh upgrade for about 14 hours or so, after which I have to do the configuration and addition of replacement add-ons. I reckon this will take me 4 to 5 days all in all :). Ah well, it is one of those things. I do keep my users informed of the process, we have a facebook setup as well, so we will all survive. It is nothing like we had happening in 2014, with the update from 2.x to 3.x <ROFL>. Kind regards, Wim
  20. That is exactly what I am trying to do. I hadn't tried a conversion in quite a while, as we were still losing data/content a year or so ago when doing an upgrade, but with 4.5.4 we are not. The idea was to do a step-by-step conversion/upgrade on a couple of test sites first, considering all the add-ons we were using which are no longer supported either, while bringing the database to more recent levels to help with testing the upgrades we need. That clearly did not work, and downgrading MariaDB is not an option it seems. Currently I am stuck, because I do get errors on the utf8 conversion - "#" as start of a comment apparently is deprecated; it just won't run right now. I am now busy setting up a WAMP-stack to try and do the utf8 conversion locally, and reupload the database thereafter, provided MariaDB 10.2 did not mess too much with the database. Kind regards, Wim
  21. Update, FYI: Going from MariaDB 10.0 to 10.1 you need default values in columns, which is why Classifieds stopped working (the Andy M. version), and going from 10.1 to 10.2 the ACP stopped working, because "rows" is a reserved word in 10.2, and it is used in the ACP in views that get created. Kind regards, Wim
  22. Just a heads-up: It appeared all was working well with 3.4.8 and MariaDB 10.1, so we upgraded to 10.2, only to find that even with strict mode off, the ACP no longer worked with 10.2. And we also found that with 10.1, the old Classifieds by Andy stopped functioning wrt adding new classifieds. As a result we are trying to roll back to 10.0 for the time being, and back to the drawing board for the actual conversion and upgrade to 4.5.4, which does work fully actually, even on our board now, and the addition of replacements for all the extra stuff we have on 3.4.8 🙂 Kind regards, Wim
  23. Thank you, Ryan, much appreciated. I'll create a full backup of teh server prior to upgrading MariaDB - unfortunately that is teh only way to migrate back if for soem reason it does not work. At least I have good hopes now that it will. Thanks again! Kindest regards, Wim
  24. Hi All, There used to be some SQL strict mode problems in the past with upgrading versions, and I am wondering if that is still the case. Basically, I am still running 3.4.8, and a test site with a copy of that board on 4.5.4, on the same server, different domains. The upgrade from MariaDB 10.0 to 10.1 was rather painful and time-consuming, basically because there was a problem with the standard supplied cPanel setup on the server, but that was fixed last night. Next problem is to upgrade from 10.1 to 10.2, but it specifically warns with a critical error regarding the use of strict mode by default when doing the upgrade. I therefore need to know whether both 3.4.8 and 4.5.4 are strict mode compatible., and I could not find a definite answer here so far, the latest answer dating back to June, but not specifically for upgrading. If you do know the answer, please let me know here, as I need to be on a supported MariaDB version asap, amongst others because of continued support on ICS, and because it requires hours less work to get things converted from 3.4.8 with a newer, supported version of MariaDB. Thank you very much in advance for your replies! Kind regards, Wim P.S.: I know about "sql_mode=NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION", but that appears to have no effect on the critical upgrade error messages.
  25. Bought and tried to install: Sorry, there is a problem The page you requested does not exist Error code: 1S160/2 Please fix asap, or alternatively refund me. Kind regards, Wim
