  1. File Name: Blog Post Count For 1.4 File Submitter: BASHERS33 File Submitted: 24 Jul 2008 File Category: IP.Blog Modifications Update: Now if you do the optional edit in mod.php located in the entry document, when an entry is deleted it will also lower post count for the authors of those comments. For example if one member made 5 comments and another made 1 then it will lower post count by 5 and 1 respectively if that entry is deleted. Note: If you downloaded an earlier version of this, you need to simply redo the edit in mod.php in the document for entries. This has 2 small documents explaining how to have post count go up and down for: 1. Blog Commenting. 2. Blog Entry Creating. You can use one or the other or both. Click here to download this file

  3. File Name: Blog Points For 1.4 File Submitter: BASHERS33 File Submitted: 24 Jul 2008 File Category: IP.Blog Modifications Update: Now if you do the optional edit in mod.php, when an entry is deleted it will also deduct points for the authors of those comments. For example if one member made 5 comments and another made 1 and your points per comment is set to 10 then it will lower points by 50 and 10 respectively if that entry is deleted. Note: If you downloaded an earlier version of this, you need to simply redo the first edit in mod.php. This is for points incrementation when creating a blog, commenting on an entry, enabling a blog, or adding a new entry. It then deletes those points if something is deleted. I released it in the past, but now realized that for blog ENTRY deletion it was deleting points from the BLOG author, not the entry author. While usually this would be fine, some blogs obviously would have a different author than some of its entries. Keep in mind this mod is for people who have a field in the members table named "points". It requires changes if you want a different column used at this time. I have included instructions on how to add the points column if you truly want this and do not already have a points system, but I recommend downloading ipoints to get all of that set up. 5. Number of active viewers goes way up when unidentified spiders are there. Or sometimes it even goes up when a KNOWN spider is there and if you click the detailed online list in that case it won't list many at all. I think like IPs should not be counted unless it's a member. That way if members have AOL, for example, it would still count them as unique, but it would get rid of this issue where it says 200 are viewing and then you see 190 of them are the same IP.
  6. If these or similar tabs (2.3) wills till be used, it would be nice to be able to change which page comes up as default when clicking a tab. That way the pages used most often by admin x,y, or z will come right up rather than then needing to find the link on the page.
  7. Eh but if they did that someone may forget they had someone on ignore andd also they would not understand some flow of topics if they see people tlaking and then don't even notice someone else is talking to them.
  8. I want some sort of feature where the software is able to set me up with some girl who doesn't lie.
  9. Birthdays on front page sorted by age. Right now seems to be sorted by nothing... probably member number because of the selection process and not being ordered by anything.
  10. I used to always request it here and Invisionize and in fact I thought about trying to have someone do a custom program for me to be able to use it because I always thought it would attract a lot more of a community. Someone did try to make one, I believe, but apparently they never finished. Now that I can program some (not nearly well enough for this though) I am trying to remember other ideas I had back then! I can't even think of things to make now that I can make some!
  11. Ouch that is a lot more expensive than flashchat to say the least. :) Since my site is so inactive I may use the free version just t see if it has certain issues flashchat has. Although I see realchat says it requires you to have a dedicated server so if that ends up being true, then really there are many reasons to choose flashchat. At first glance I don't expect realchat to be better in any way other than possibly more trustworthy/secure.
  12. I agree with groups. Not sure about the others. Flashchat is great and I've asked for a built in IM system for a while, but it seemed like the thoughts were that it would be toor esource intensive and not enough payoff. I personally think it would be cool, but judging by how staff reacted... I don't think they will do it. Although they also didn't like the idea of a rep system, so who knows. As far as the icons when people are on different IM services... some of that can be done now as bb codes, but would be nice to be built in. Also Michael said in the past there was some kind of IM functionality in IPB. I think buttons you clicked to IM people? But for some reason IPS stopped it?
  13. I think it would be a quite useful feature if members can make a topic invisible to themselves. Maybe by clicking the folder icons that currently close them for admins. Maybe make that be used for invisibility for other members. I really realized how useful it potentially could be when I was looking at topics on another site and realizing that it's only natural to read each topic title if it has a "go to" icon by it and a lot of topics I know from day 1 I would not care to go into them again. Not sure if it would be useful or not. Just an idea. I haven't looked to see how read/unread for each member is even handled in itself, so I have no clue if this would be resource intensive and if the current read/unread is resource intensive.
