Oh, poo, that's a shame. Why might it be that "normal" avatars show OK on an iPad? Firefox developer tools shows the avatars fine in responsive view, as do Opera's; I just now tried Safari's responsive view and it shows it like your screenshot. I never use Safari on my Mac, so it was only when I went to look on my iPad that I noticed it. Is there perhaps some way of fixing it for n2a? And thanks for looking into the MGM bug

Sorry to be a nuisance... I installed it on my real forum a few few hours ago, and have just now noticed that no avatars at all show in the list of forum categories or in the lists of topics in a forum on my iPad; all avatars show fine in sidebar blocks/widgets and within topics. It all seems to work fine via my desktop browser. How might I be able to fix this, please?

MGM I recently bought this too Whenever I open the block manager on the forum home page, I always get the following system error. It only happens on the main forum page, not on other pages. It's on IPB 4.3.4 having recently been upgraded from 3.3.4. My system logs are filled with this error whilst I install stuff and test out blocks and widgets. Is this a bug in the app or have I got something wrong somewhere? On a side note: in the Permissions tab, what is “Use DB Perms”, assuming “Use Apps Perms” is whatever perms are for the app the menu is linking to, and assuming “Manual Perms” overrides both the DB and Apps Perms?

Thanks. I guess I thought I could control brightness and saturation to some degree (not quite the same as “Alpha”, although increasing it to 1 seems to help a bit). I’ll give it a shot with Unique Colours, and if it ends up with too many dark/blackish colours, I’ll try switching it to without Unique Colours. It’s still a wonderful app!

I'm so sorry for such a late reply, I didn't mean to appear rude by not replying sooner, I've been either unwell or otherwise overworked lately. I know what a gradient is and how it works But I must be being really thick, as no matter what I do, the colours - when looking at them in designer mode - still remain like in my screenshot (in my previous post). I've only tried the app so far on my test forum, so I wouldn't know what it would actually look like on my real forum; at the moment, I'm just going by what I see in the Designer View. My settings are: Letters Unique backgrounds - on Disable colour generation - off Gradient Colour overrides - none (I removed what I’d previously entered as I didn't realise it was meant for specific letters/names) Dual Letters - on Only 2 names - on If the Colour Overrides are meant for specific names/letters, then where or how do I set the gradient so’s to make the colours less “dark?” Or is what's in my screenshot how it's meant to look in Designer View, with no option to change the gradient colour(s)? As I said, sorry if I’m sounding thick!

I've just tried uninstalling and re-installing it. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work properly... It now only works if I select all forums (which didn't work before), but it still does the same as before if I don't select all forums and I select one or two. This is what happens: Yours is the only plugin I can find that shows all latest replies, not just one but all. I just wish they could include a line or two of the text of the reply. There is another plugin that does do that (but doesn't say it's compatible with 4.3), but it too doesn't work properly on 4.3 unless you select all forums.

I just bought and installed this on my test forum on 4.3.4. I particularly wanted it for the sidebar (not dual) block for Recent Posts. I have the following problems: - It doesn’t show any recent posts (how recent is recent?), it’s just empty - Any block added below it becomes embedded inside the Recent Posts block - If I try to put any block above the Recent Posts block, it doesn’t show any blocks at all except for the title of Recent Posts... - It moves the bottom breadcrumbs and Unread/Mark as Read and RSS icon to the sidebar under Recent Posts. ???

I was SO pleased to have found this plugin! I’ve just upgraded from IPB 3.3.4 to 4.3.4, and for years and years I used to use Headstand’s hooks to show latest replies. All I could find for IPB 4 were widgets for different types of latest topics, none of which showed the most recent replies with some teaser text. I and my members have been feeling rather lost without it... Then I found yours, and cautiously tried it on IPB 4.3.4 even though I knew it might not be compatible, and it seems to work fine. Not only does it have many options, it even shows the topic hovercard when hovering over the topic title, which was a surprise and welcome addition! Except... I have the same problem as FFXIV Admin - it only works if all forums are selected. If I try to manually include only some forums whilst excluding others, the widget then shows blank. If I go back to edit it, it shows all forums as unselected, hence the widget showing blank. If it helps any, the System Logs shows me an error for “template_tdb_posts”: and 14 lines of stuff that’s in the “Backtrace” box below it. Would there be any chance, please pretty please, to update this for IPB 4.3? I’d happily pay for it, there’s no other plugin that offers as many options. (Even better, would be if one could use it multiple times.)

Name 2 Avatars I've just installed this on my test site and have been playing around with it for the past hour or more. I think I need a bit of help, please... Using Letters, with Unique Backgrounds and Gradient in designer mode, it shows a lot of dark and/or somewhat mucky looking colours as in this screenshot. The description says: “When enabling gradients, the application will automatically use the color's accent (opposing color) to generate a multi-hued background that stretches across the entire color palette.” - from where does it get the main colour in order to use its “accent”? Sorry if I’m being thick, but I don’t understand how the Colour Overrides works when using the Gradient option... - What does “Letter(s)/Name” mean and what are you supposed to enter there? - Are these supposed to apply themselves or am I supposed to do something else in addition to clicking “Save”? - If a gradient will be between 2 colours, why am I allowed to enter more than 2 colours here? It makes no difference what colours I enter in the Colour Overrides rows, nothing changes. What am I doing wrong or don’t understand, and how can I get the colours to be lighter and brighter than those in the screenshot, or maybe more pastel coloured?

I apologise if this is a daft question... I will be - very belatedly, I know, but better late than never - upgrading my forum from v.3.3.4 to v.4.3.3. I have the older Links Directory v.4_1_1_b on it. Can I upgrade the Links Directory without losing anything, or will I have to start from scratch with 200+ links (and their thumbnails)?
