    You can create a rules set by yourself in Automation Rules (it's a paid addon application) If you don't want to create the rules, you can also buy: Just search for iawards in the marketplace to find out other options.
  2. I still haven't found a complete solution to an automated points application that can be designed with complex rules sets. What I want to realize is this: Maybe there is someone out there who can help designing it (^^) with automation rules plus points economy if it would get some more features? Such an automation rules templates system would be really powerful and could be even sold in the IPS marketplace...
  3. I'm very interested in any ADVANCED POINTS application in the IPS marketplace! But all available solutions here appear as they don't get beyond the initial stages. This was said already by end of 2015. So is there a chance of a more or less rapid further development? I wouldn't mind paying a higher price! $$$ I think an ADVANCED POINTS app should be somehow bound to CORE / FORUMS COMMERCE app -> as a solid POINTS PAYMENT GATEWAY -> as POINTS showing everywhere as a valid virtual currency (in addition to USD/EUR as a multicurrency setting) -> Products can only be purchased by points, if point price is filled in. If both currency prices are filled in the customer can choose, if only real world currency is filled in customers must purchase with real bucks DOWNLOADS app -> POINTS should be shown in addition to USD/EUR in blocks / widgets / slider ... -> Products can only be purchased by points, if point price is filled in + (see above like in commerce) -> points system must be suited for site commission/referrals/affiliates AWARDS app (currently: iAwards) -> POINTS should be triggered if an award is received or taken away again, depending on the worthyness of the award (custom config per award) AUTOMATION RULES app (currently: automation rules) -> there are lots more situations and maybe it makes sense to create some ECA (events/conditions/actions) as @Kevin Carwile describes his API for other developers -> maximum flexibility And here is my (new) list: POSITIVE POINTS EVENTS: Registration of a member is complete (once per unique Email address / member name) -> this is a direct welcome bonus and introduces the points system to new members Daily Login (once a day): I try to force my members to login daily and award them therefore -> if the member opts in for bulk mail he should get an extra minor daily bonus (email marketing!) OR he will only get the daily login bonus if he opted in for bulk emails. -> if the member has a completed profile he should get an extra minor daily bonus (personalization) Topic/posts creations (once for author): topic author receives major points, post authors that respond in topic receive less points + thank you points for topic author for each post in topic by others, long texts (minimum chars) will be extra awarded, also texts with high reputation (f.e. if a post receives XX likes, then... extra points) -> it should work the same way for blogs Free downloads / paid downloads creations: free gets XX points, paid DLs XXX points, if DL is downloaded XXX times then extra X points, or if purchased more than X times XX points Positive reactions (reputation): each reaction should trigger points for the receiver as well as the reaction giver in dependance of a unique reaction. Points values for different reactions differ (f.e. like = 10, thanks = 5, confused = 0, sad = -1)! The idea is to engage all members to take more part in using reactions, while others will be triggered by this behavior! Review creations: f.e. the more stars rating a reviewer will give, the more points he will get, extra points if other users find the review useful Gallery album creations: bonus for massive photo uploads (but if deleted again, then double minus points!) Purchasing memberships: give points for regular and VIP memberships and renewals (according to the price level) Special member group promotions: if members are promoted, they will get an extra point credit Leaderboard daily winner: different points for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place iAward is received: depending what category and the worthiness, points should be given, awards are a very high reputation sign, hence they should be awarded with points, too! By the way, iAwards can also be triggered with "Automation Rules" ECAs NEGATIVE / NO POINTS EVENTS: If receiving/giving negative reactions: take away points from both negative reaction receiver as well as the negative reaction giver -> this way a negative reaction will become "expensive" and only used if worth the event! receiving a moderation warning: in dependance to the severity reduction for inactive behavior: each month, reduce points by XX or XX% account banned: user looses all points (deactivation) manual reduction: admins/mods are allowed to take away points as a special warning mechanism! -> Or admins/mods can suspend members from "daily points" OR "ALL points" temporarily Only problem: If (additional) points are purchased with real world money, there should be a setting that a member can't loose the purchased points (=drop below his investment) except for spending them in exchange for products like memberships and downloads! POINTS MULTIPLICATORS: If user is in VIP group XX then multiplicate points values with f.e. 1.2 (=20% bonus) If user is in MOD group YY then .... f.e. 0.8 (=-20% as they will naturally get more likes for bureaucracy instead of content production) Points award for very high reputation: give 0.1 extra bonus (f.e. 1000 rep and up) SPECIAL POINTS OPTIONS: Received points must be confirmed daily or weekly or monthly -> this way, users will only get their points finally, if they take part in the community regularily -> timeframe maybe dependant on member group Comeback users after time x should be awarded, if they click a special link! -> so we can create bulk emails to attract inactive members to come back and engage again Banned members can't earn points (also during times if banned temporarily) Daily limit: limit the maximum points a member can receive daily! Tipping: Options to transfer points to other members as a thank you mechanism: if in group XX, can transfer daily X points max, if in VIP group YY, daily max is YYY points I have 1000+ ideas but these ones should be the essential ones for the start If all the requests are too heavy to be hardcoded at once, there might be a chance to realize them with Automation Rules ECAs? I would accept this solution, too! I don't need banks, no trades, I want to lift up the members engagement, sell points for real money and generate income (downloads/memberships products) by exchange! This is the requested "voice" Thank you!

Here are my impassioned pleas to IPS concerning the interface deployment for additional features like virtual "point currencies" and "reactions" to be used with automations rules and points economy. It would be great if you would support these topics, that IPS can see our urgent needs for these possibilities. I hope to gather a fanbase for these ideas, so automation rules and points economy can become much more mighty. For now, I see that if no reactions can be used, all my gamification ideas come to the end. It's an essential requirement. Same for the showup of points currencies in IP.Commerce, IP.Downloads and other third party applications. Thanks for your help!
  5. The former error disappeared on the frontend, but now, if I try to edit my existing categories in ACP, as soon as I click on "edit": Seems to be a similar problem. Additional information: I noticed before, that the category icons never worked. Uploading was ok in the category settings, but they weren't displayed.
  6. Maybe someone can help me: 1. I want to award (point credit) my members with points for a daily login. How can I define a daily login event? Members should only be awarded once a day, even if they log in and out and in multiple times. Probably this rule must be created with a custom action (daily login counter = 1) but I don't know how. 2. I want to award (point credit) my members for receiving (+5) and also for giving reputation (+1). But my rule doesn't seem to work. EVENT: Member receives reputation points CONDITIONS: none ACTIONS: Credit, Member that received the reputation, 5 Credit, Member that gave the reputation, 1 I also send notifications for both members, packed in 2 notification actions Do I require a custom action for this rule? 3. By the way, has anybody found a solution, how to reward special reactions? Is it possible with any PHP code? I think this is VERY IMPORTANT! F.e. I want to create rules like "If a post gets 10 x 'sad' reaction, then debit the member -10 points' Please help me with these rules. Thanks very much!
  7. I would love to change to local storage, but IPS has deactivated local storage for cloud customers. There is no option for "local" in the cloud installation. Time for an IPS ticket, see what they respond to this error...

In ACP -> System -> Files -> Storage Settings, I can find the Raffles Prizes Images and the Raffles images both stored in "Amazon ips-cic-filestore" As an IPS CiC, everything is stored in "Amazon ips-cic-filestore", there is no local filestorage at all... If I create a new raffle, the error also occurs. Unfortunately I have no testinstall
  9. As soon as I want to open existing raffles after the update, I get the following error: xxxxxx was the number of my account, I'm an IPS customer in the cloud. No idea, if it's according to raffles or an IPS bug, as they moved accounts last week...
  10. Unfortunately, the permissions are correct, only guests are deactivated... I also tried generating a new RSS feed in ACP -> Content Discovery -> RSS Feeds with all events in all calendars. But that didn't help also. If I create a new slider with different content, f.e. any downloads, it displays correct and I can select it in the frontend. If I afterwards change the same slider settings back to the Calendar RSS Feed in the ACP, it is shown as "no contents" in the frontend. Then I checked the RSS Stream, but it has the events as contents in it. The slider just doesn't want to show the contents.
  11. I have a private community, "on invitation only". Is there a chance that the advanced footer and its contents inside only display for registered, validated, logged in members or even only for defined member groups? Non-registered visitors shouldn't see f.e. the connected facebook account, so that they won't be able to identify the community from the outside. And google wouldn't index personal informations like email addresses, phone numbers...
  12. I have rules with 3, 8, 15... days of inactivity to send out e-mails. In the new Inactive Members Logs I'm experiencing the following issues: Triggered Rule 3 & 8 both listed for the same member on the same day BUT at different times (=2 log entries on same day) Triggered Rule 3 listed for the same member twice on the same day AND at same time (=duplicate log entry or duplicate email?) Triggered Rule 8 listed for the same member twice on the same day AND at same time (=duplicate log entry or duplicate email?) Triggered Rule 3 for a "nameless member" (=no member name), twice at the same time (=no existing member) I haven't asked my members who received 2 emails at once so far, but I will observe it.
  13. exactly. sorry, there was a problem with the IPS cloud and I was totally locked out, so I couldn't answer before as I wanted to recheck first... what I meant was, that I created a raffle, nobody participated in it (no ticket purchase), at the expiration time the raffle locked automatically, then I modified the expiration date to a later date (I thought I could reactivate it with a new expiration date), but instead of reopening it, it said "expired". -> but I wanted it to start over again to extend to the new expiration date.... when a raffle is finished, I'd like to have an option to restart it (or a new instance of it). either with the same configuration or with edited details. reason: if nobody takes part, it would be great to just take another go with it I will retest it tomorrow and explain if the behavior is different. Thanks.
  14. I think it's 100. But not absolutely sure. We definitely need a RULES & POINTS CLUB! I wouldn't mind, if @Kevin Carwile would ask IPS to be allowed to create one here or alternatively on his own website. Who is interested in a club? We could collect ideas, what rules to realize and how to implement them. We could exchange our knowledge. We could profit from each other and solve problems together. I would be very interested to realize an advanced points & rules project!

  16. I added a stream (as admin) for the calendar in ACP -> Content Discovery -> Streams ("calendar stream") In the frontend, I opened the stream and copied the RSS URL of the stream. Then I created a "featured content" slider to import a RSS stream (=the newly generated calendar stream), and I inserted the RSS link. After inserting the widget in the frontend, I can't even select the newly generated slider, though it saved well. It isn't listed in the selection drop down field. Why? I wanted to display calendar events as a slider with the according image and title. Thanks.

One feature addon: If I use the email variable {suite_url} in email texts and I try to link the {suite_url} text to {suite_url} (=will be inserted as link), I get the following link in the preview email: http://%7bsuite_url%7d%20/ Is this only in preview? I think it doesn't parse the variable as soon as it is used in links.
  18. I bought it and I like it so far. Even without the group adding and special bulk email features above ^^ But I experience the following issues: you can't change / modify the prizes once they have been defined? Even if no members have bought any tickets until now. I think an admin should be able to change prizes / prize logos and prize descriptions. Why? I'd like to insert more detailed prize descriptions (enhance the raffle prize texts after publication), or the prize photos don't look good enough if I see them next to each other (after publication). if a raffle is expired / closed (and no members took part in the raffle), you can edit the expiration date on the frontend and the backend, but it still doesn't reopen... Can a raffle be reopened? Thanks.
  19. Great news, I will buy very soon. But please let me clarify the following: bulk adding of participants: yes, it's possible like you showed me, but I think there should be an option, not to only add single members by name, but member groups (all group members at once). This might have been a misunderstanding. My communities have really a lot members and it would take a whole week to add all of them by inserting every member name manually REQUESTED FUNCTION -> ADD member group to this raffle... EXCEPT the banned users bulk email field restriction: this directly corresponds to the feature above: bulk adding participants (member groups). If I could add member groups at once and restrict by "bulk email field description" in addition, then I would get only the ones that receive my newsletter (=the whole member group MINUS bulk email = OFF). REQUESTED FUNCTION -> ADD member group to this raffle... EXCEPT banned users... AND EXCEPT the members of this group who have BULK EMAIL = OFF The idea and sense of this was, that if I start a new raffle / giveaways irregularily, my members never know at what time I will start a raffle/giveaways. Exactly at this point of time, I could manually start a raffle with BULK ADDING MEMBER GROUPS, but only the members who have their bulk email field toggled ON. The ones, that had EMAIL ON at this point of time, they're IN! The ones, that had EMAIL OFF at this point of time, they're OUT, no more chance for that raffle! If I publish news to my community, f.e. "only members with bulk email ON will participate in the raffle coming up anytime during the next month. Go here... to activate your bulk email & raffle function and take part NOW!" really a lot of members would activate the bulk email feature to take part in the lottery. In some countries, it is prohibited by law to send members bulk emails without their "conscious agreement". Hence I'm looking for a way, to make them happy by receiving my newsletters, as they would also take part in the lottery... email marketing is very effective, but according laws are becoming stricter all the time... The BULK EMAIL FIELD RESTRICTION only makes sense, if you have the ADD MEMBER GROUP MANUALLY FUNCTION, and you can use both functions at the same time in combination Just wanted to clarify, so you get the point what I meant and the email marketing strategy I'm thinking about. Hi Kevin, I already own the rules automation full application, but I can't find the example rules (except for the starter pack). 1# On the file description page in the IPS marketplace, there are examples like Example Rule #823 which means to me, there must be a storage location where I can find hundreds of example rules, right? Where can I find them please? #2 I want to realize a very complex rules mechanism, almost a total member engagement game, but I need to learn more. Is there - maybe - an AUTOMATION RULES CLUB with very experienced users out there, who are sharing ideas? I would also be willing to share my own ideas. #3 What about events like the new reactions? I would love to see some advanced possibilities with them, f.e. "tied to a special reaction condition sequence" IF any user receives 5 "Haha" reactions in sequence (=no other reaction type in between) THEN give him the award xy (I know iAwards is supported ) or a "challenge cup which is passed around" tied to a "reaction ratio": an owner holds the challenge cup only for the time until the next winner is awarded with it IF any user has a reaction ratio of {1 "Sad" : 50 "Haha"} THEN look if any user already has the "Clown" award IF YES take it away from him and give it to the new user IF NO give it to the new user I have no idea, how to get this working Sorry, I'm a rules beginner... #4 I'm looking for a way to protect rules creations from customers. They get administrator access, as the communities will be their own communities and they have to buy the applications and plugins on their behalf (good for you ), but I'm asking myself, if there could be a way to protect the rules inside the ACP, that they can't be copied easily.   21. It looks very nice and I'm considering buying one or two as soon as I upgrade my communities to IPS 4.2 Top quality as all of your products, @Adriano Faria! The link to your suggestions forum didn't work for me. I have some questions though, I think most of them are suggestions for future releases: Could it be possible, maybe in a future release, to integrate the checkbox field for bulk mail ("send me news and informations" / "allow email by admin"), which is displayed on the registration screen and in the notification settings, as a new restriction criteria for raffles/giveaways? It's very important to me, as I only want members to take part in raffles/giveaways, if they receive my email newsletters... I would be really nice, too, to have some more restriction options: # bulk email (most important) # personal message system activated # check for custom profile fields (f.e. gender) # birthday field in profile (members have to be 21 or 18 years old according to laws, depends where your community is located) Automatic adding participants to the raffles/giveaways: Sometimes, I would like that my whole community takes part in the raffle/giveaways without further action by them (they are forced to take part), or, that I could add all participants that match my special restrictions criteria, all at once. Any chance for this? What I mean is this: any function to bulk adding participants according to my criteria/restrictions. I have xxx.xxx users and I want a lot of them to take part automatically. I read it integrates to IP.Commerce. So far so good. But is it possible to restrict the application to only one payment gateway? I want to use "Points Economy" as a payment gateway, and only Points Economy, but I'm using other payment gateways for downloads and the shop. I think it can only show currency prices (f.e. USD), not points instead of a real-world currency, or? You can configure, that participants can buy more than one ticket only to increase their odds. Great! But could I restrict it on 1 ticket / 1 day f.e. I want my members to visit my community as often as possible, so it would be nice to limit the ticket sale on a hourly/daily/weekly basis. If there would be a bulk adding function (2.) it would be great if it could repeat the automatic adding daily/weekly... Are there any compact sidebar widgets planned? F.e. for 1st, 2nd, 3rd winner (displaying the winners for a week until the next raffle starts). Or showing the 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes (during ticket sale time). Can I hide the raffle settings on the frontend? I only want to show the title as a "raffle motto" and keep some informations as a secret... If members don't match, they are denied, or get an error message. Is any integration to the "Automation Rules Application" planned? Can I duplicate former raffles/giveaways to reissue them as a new raffle/giveaway? I know, a lot of suggestions at once Thanks very much for this great application!
  22. I found another small bug: If my members are "winners of the day" (days won / leaderboard) the real last activity is shown twice on the members profile pages. -> one time after "last visit" and another time after "days won" Other members, that have never won, are displayed correctly.
  23. Please include a feature to NOT DISPLAY BANNED MEMBERs. And maybe another less important feature to ONLY SHOW BANNED MEMBERs. As IPS changed the banning mechanism (in IPSv3 banned members were moved to a "BANNED" member group), I can't filter them out, if they have been banned indefinitely. Thanks.
  24. Great plugin, especially the email function has tremendous usage possibilities to reactivate inactive users. I configured the plugin to send different emails after 3,8,15,21,30 days to all user groups. Now, what happens to my older, former inactive users? Will they get all 5 emails at once? Or are emails only sent to new users, that registered after the plugin installation time? What is exactly the trigger that sends out the email? Other important questions are: Does the plugin send out emails to locked/banned accounts? Does the plugin check the "allow emails by admin" or "send me news and informations" checkbox in the notification settings? Ideas and suggestions: Use a "select random email text" function, so inactive users wont always get the same email after f.e. 3 days. Or have an option for text variations. Include more variables, f.e. "current user reputation" and "highest reputation the top community member has"
  25. It's a CiC installation, but unfortunately I can't grant access to it due to privacy concerns at the moment. I rechecked it and I found out: Secondary groups in "member criteria" aren't parsed at all. Nowhere. Never. Even if I have "all groups" as secondary groups criteria enabled. Secondary group settings in member lists just don't have any effect. Probably there is any permissions conflict? I deactivated guests permissions in all applications for all modules different groups permissions in IP.pages... and a lot more Is there any permission known/required for member lists to work properly? I mean app levels, group levels, page levels... Parsing the "primary group" works excellent. It's just that the secondary group isn't parsed at all. Thanks.
