  2. Great update! BUT...

    Be aware! Though I had all the items set to be "locked", the resync overwrote all of my items.

    Fortunately, I made a backup with all texts, prices.... so I can redo them in 10 minutes. But please check this routine, as said, it didn't work for me...

    Already requested this, too. Good to see, there are more members wishing this enhancement. I think many really need this feature and it helps doing legal commerce... I noticed you can still email any member, even after the classified has expired... As soon as bots find out this email possibility, you have big problems. On the other side, every competitor could easily email to former members that haven't been online for ages.... This can easily become a big problem.

    I have a few requests concerning the features:

    1. Please let us make the ticker disposable for specified groups. The ticker is nice, but it can also start to annoy its viewers after looking on it for hours. A feature like "dispose of the ticker until new content is added to the ticker" would be fine. Or "dispose for 1 day" would be fine also.
    2. I detected a bug: on the forum index (which is my homepage) everything looks fine and the ticker works as expected. If I switch the page, f.e. to the calendar, the ticker also shows up fine, BUT: After the first ticker cycle was displayed, starting with the second cycle, the text isn't faded in character for character from right to left anymore. The whole <li> element is faded in as soon as the gap left to the start/pause panel is big enough to fade in the whole <li> element at once. Until then there is a long empty gap which doesn't look very nice...

    It's our responsibility to know the legal guidance and laws surrounding the product, service, buyer protections, seller agreements, and shipping.  But it's not the problem of IPS which only needs to provide the technology to facilitate the transaction.  

    This is just like their current IP.commerce, which doesn't take into account any of the Euro VAT.  

    The responsibility of IPS is imho, that IPS empowers their customers with "globally required" features they can use to achieve their own business model. Obviously the legal issues, warranty, dispute management... belong to the site admin. For most of this, you contact your lawyer. But your lawyer can't integrate a "checkmark field" for you, he only tells you that you require it in 25 different places for different statements. And not only you, all sellers in the whole european territory.

    What I ask to be done by IPS (I know, my only possibility is to ask and wait... :lol:), is integrating some minor optimizations.

    For example

    Button fields

    -> if we could put a obligatory checkmark field in front of ANY button in the community, with a linked text, the community software would gain extremely power for legally correct contracting.

    O     I have read the contract details (linke to xy contract) "required"
    O     I acknowledge that a digital product is excluded from our refund policy, as the contract will be completed immediately "required"
    
    [BUY NOW]    or    [CREATE NEW TOPIC]   ....

    Account credits

    -> As soon as it comes to withdrawals, we require more informations, like the tax percentage applied on each position. Withdrawals should have more accounting informations (exact items, their netto and brutto value, resident country), and this is as simple as adding some fields to an overview page with downloadable lists.

    I suggested multiple times without response, to create an IPS Club "EU Trading" for such affairs. I would share my knowledge too. I have special custom plugins in action, and others code theirs too. Many advancements could be done as an empowered team. And the problems (that should be optimized in the core) could be communicated directly to IPS with a common voice.... All of this would lead to better results.

  6. Another issue:

    In the username hover popup, the line where the awards are listed, the distances between the awarded awards are different. This looks somehow broken!

    They look like:

    Awards  O O     O      O      O

                   ^^^

    but they require all the exact same space in between each other.

    In my example, the first and the second award (out of 5) stick together.

  8. Another bug:

    In the forum topic views, you can move your mouse over any award in the user panel / postbit. Then there is a hover box popping up. 

    Then the bug: The content area of the displayed award informations (award/title/awarded description) is bigger than the popup box. There are no line breaks. The text moves out of sight on the right edge of the popup. A proper display is requested.

  9. I have 1 important request concerning the "group promotion item".

    I configured several group promotion items, and I want them to work altogether.

    What is the exact mechanism?

    I think there should be a feature, to select the group promotion, if users should be promoted as the primary group OR the secondary group.

    The upgrade to a VIP group should be primary, so others can see it.

    The upgrade to other groups should be secondary, as they may not overwrite the primary group AND members can buy 3 different "group promotions". So, theoretically, I require that members can purchase 3 group promotion items, and then they will be promoted to all of these 3 groups (1 primary, 2 secondary)

    The problem is that i cannot remove this object ... i try to remove cache or re-sync items but impossible ...

    This is exactly the problem one of my moderators had when testing the plugin, which I already described above. He bought around 50 items, but 1 item got stucked there. It wasn't redeemed and you can't remove it either. I think he was clicking quite fast, too. So there might be a real problem...

You think your members can press the "withdrawal" button now? NO! Then you tell your members, that the system is unable to do any business accounting and that they please should send in a paper invoice with each sales item on it. After that, you engage a secretary, who is recalculating paper invoices as the electronic system fails for this job.

    You get the point?

    ^^ currently it's just not doable to lead a company with different IPS commerce features, that shall monetize in different markets. You have to use WordPress, especially if you require different commerce modules like the above mentioned.

    Commerce is one of the most important features in every community software suite. Advertisements are paid worse year after year, members flee to Facebook and our sites modules cant handle legal monetizations.

    I really really really hope, that IPS is considering the situation very well. As soon as everybody realizes, that they have to move their commerce to WordPress or whatever, there might be no way back. If I invest $10.000 in a professionally designed WordPress system, I won't feel to change back later and redevelop everything from ground up in IPS. Speed matters for business.

    I love IPS and I want to do it with THEIR SOFTWARE. But the unaddressed commercial dangers force to look at different solutions, that are ready for global business!

    yes, please. Commerce, paid downloads, personal member stores, events business, points commerce, TAX per app and per app content category and accounting really require more attention for business customers. It hurts me having to realize most of these requirements in WordPress... I would love to do more community businesses directly with IPS instead of leading my members away to WordPress.

    I can't reproduce. Please show me the plugin settings and test on default skin.

    Sorry, this one was my fault ;( I had guest access disabled for secondary group icons ;)

    I'll add new setting. Do you need it for post and for profile? Or 1 for both areas?

    A separate setting would be great. There is lots of space in the profile pages, but not in the userpanel/postbit on the forum frontend... Thanks.

  15. The plugin works on 4.2.7 but has some minor issues:

    1. Please integrate .svg support and the option to define dimensions.
    2. transparent png aren't looking clear on high resolution screens. There should be an option to upload them in double their size, but manually reduce dimensions
    3. As soon as I logout, only the primary group icon is displayed in the postbit/author panel. The secondary group icons aren't shown for guests, but they should.
    4. It would be great, if we could define a maximum number of secondary groups icons/badges that will be displayed. If members are in 10 secondary groups for example, it looks chaotic. As we have the option to reorder them (most important are reordered to the top of the list), it should stop f.e. after showing 5 badges...

  16. I just drawed another gamble idea as a potential enhancement for the members shop: a simple slot machine ->

    1. Spend a pool amount to play this item multiple times (f.e. 250, you can play 10 times for 25 each game at once, no need to purchase every single game = longer fun, more excitement)
    2. Let us specify our own "slider images" (f.e. 7 different png images, to customize this game for our community needs)
    3. Let us specify the "winning combinations" and their multiplicators. If the combination is shown, your entry fee (25) is multiplicated with the multiplicator and added to the pool
    4. If the user presses START, all 3 image slides should display any movement effect (let it appear as if it really slides)
    5. Player can exit anytime (then he will bring his won points home, or lose the rest amount in the pool)

    That would be awesome. :) But still hoping for the "ghost mode" to be developed one day ;)

    I buy for 10 (I had 250, after purchase 240), increase bet by 10, I lost, I still have 240, 10-increase-bet-points weren't deducted :( 

    I'm using evo-x points, if this matters...

  18. Another Stone-Paper-Scissors Bug:

    If you purchase this item, f.e. for 10 points, they will be deducted during the purchase.

    BUT if there is an option to increase the bet (inside the game, f.e. additional 10 points), these points for the additional investment aren't deducted at all. 

    RESULT FOR PURCHASE 10 + INCREASE BET 10: 

    If I lose the game, I only lose 10 points (even if I should have invested 10+10 points) -> I should lose 20!

    If I win the game, I earn 40 points (but only spent 10 points). -> My bonus is +30 but it should be +20 only!

    This must be corrected, as my members already know about this bug and have already received hundreds of points "for free" by misusing the buggy "increase bet" feature.

    Please let us define a percentage value for chances to win. Equal chances for winning/losing is not good for me. I would like to lower the luck-value, so that statistically, members will lose more often than they can win. Thanks.

    Stone-Paper-Scissors Bug detected:

    One of my moderators bought the item ~50 times. And then started playing. At the end (the last item in "my items"), the system responds: "can't redeem as already redeemed". But it's still in "my items" (1 left) and can't be deleted nor redeemed. Anything might be wrong there (assuming my mod tells the truth :lol:). How to remove it?

After that, you can configure in the members shop a "group promotion item for 7 days". There you select the newly configured 5-files-per-day-member-group. After 7 days, the member will be demoted automatically again. Am I wrong?

     

    Another small enhancement:

    It would be nice, if the system would ask me after purchasing an item, if I want to redeem it directly. This would avoid misunderstandings and the search for "my items". Especially the gambling would be much faster with such a function. Maybe a global setting to prevent members to donate/transfer items at all would be great. This would merge 2 pages into 1! :)

    I deinstalled and reinstalled. This solved the first problem. Thanks. Don't know why, as the versions have been the same, but it solved the issue.

    Concerning the second problem, we have a long discussion about IPS and translations in the peer-to-peer section, that state

    # the second cookie notice duplicate is associated with the cookie notice plugin, but is not translatable as it doesn't save, because such a key already exists
    # the first and former cookie notice key is not associated with the cookie notice plugin any more (as the duplicate was priorized when this happened), but is translatable, but won't be used

    A Deinstallation routine is required to delete all cookies notice keys, no matter if they are associated or not.

  22. It would be great, to have a better overview in the gambling statistics: not only the points won, but additionally the points spent for the games, that took place for winning the awarded points. Daily / weekly / monthly...

    I, f.e., will only allow admins to view the statistics page, and I would like to check regularily, if my gambling models work out and succeed for my point of view:
    SPENT POINTS > WON POINTS.
    Especially as I sell points for real money and I have custom items in exchange for points, that cost quite a lot of real money.

    Concerning the gambling items, we require more supervision.

  23. There are some bugs in iAwards:

    • GUESTS MAY NOT SEE AWARDS, FOR WHICH THEY DONT HAVE VIEW PERMISSION
      If I turn "VIEW PERMISSION" in ACP->Awards->Manage->CustomAwardInACategory to OFF (for guests), guests can still preview THIS AWARD (=image + description) on the frontend if they click into each CATEGORY VIEW (=inside any category)
       
    • AWARDS COUNT (=TOTAL NUMBER) IN CATEGORY OVERVIEW MAY NOT INCLUDE DEACTIVATED AWARDS
      If members or guests look into the awards category overview page (-> awards homepage) the AWARDS (TOTAL NUMBER) also show the inactive awards. It shouldn't show inactive awards, that are deactivated. It seems as if it only checks the view permissions. Deactivation should be honored higher than permission settings.
       
    • NEW OPTION REQUIRED: GUESTS SHOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE A LIST WITH ALL MEMBERS AWARDED FOR CUSTOM AWARDS
      There should be a global option, that guests will never be able to click next to a custom award on the "who is awarded count" popup, that will show all awarded members for this award. This just helps for misuse, if competitors easily get a list of awarded members in this section. 
       
    • AWARDS TOTAL COUNT ON HOMEPAGE SHOWS WRONG NUMBER:
      If I look at the category overview/iAwards homepage, I can see the number "20", but as soon as I enter this category, I can see 21 awards (for this check I was a guest who viewed, but it might be the same for members)
