Tom S. got a reaction from modman in 4.4: Extend Invision Community with the REST API
Another point about the Commerce API. It has a lot of Getter end points only.
Having the power to post and delete in all these endpoints would be fantastic.
Im trying to think from the point of view of creating a custom mobile app that communicates with the master web suite. Currently, I would have to create my own custom API’s to make it possible.

Tom S. reacted to Gauravk in 4.5: Commerce Trials
OMG, this is worth in gold. Can't wait for it to launch please. Thank you soooooo much guys.
Hope it includes following suggestions too:
Coupon code for subscriptions
Discounts for subscriptions
Changing annual/monthly with flick of button than displaying same subscription twice. Its neat, space saving and above all less confusing or paralyzing for buyers.
Make checkout super short just to grab credit card first and then display all the fields on next page to expedite checkout.

Tom S. got a reaction from Cyboman in Invision Community Apps for iOS & Android
Thank you for the response.
Concerning the no modifications part. Why is that not an option? After you build the version of the app locked to my community, could I not then have access to the code to make modifications (similar to the web app version)? And then it would be my responsibility that when you release an update for the app I would incorporate it alongside my modifications? Similar to how I do with the web app currently. (It might get complicated, but that's my problem).
Essentially, I think it would be nice if you copied a similar business model that you use for the web version. As for instance, if I could not make any modifications to the web app, I would not be a customer of yours. The same case applies for the mobile app.
You posted this as I was typing my question. This probably answers most of the above 😄
Please do consider offering some kind of partnership service for more customizability. I'm sure businesses will be willing to pay a higher fee for it.

Very exciting. Could you explain how a white label system would work?
1. Would we be able to make our own modifications?
2. Would users have to first download the "Invision App"?
I love the idea but I can't see how it would play out in my head.

Tom S. got a reaction from Mark in 4.4: Recurring PayPal Payments and more with Braintree and Commerce
Thanks for posting.
Although looking at Stripe they have pretty bad reviews too and I've never had an issue with them. It seems the only people who go to these review sites are ones that have had a bad experience so they can vent frustration.

Initially very interested. Then I did a bit of research and read some reviews of Braintree, so I may pass on this implementation.

Tom S. got a reaction from Cyboman in 4.4: Extend Invision Community with the REST API
From the point of view of managing subscriptions. So, the ability to disable renewals, upgrade/downgrade.
It would be awesome to be able to sell a product/subscription and manage them using the API.

Tom S. got a reaction from hmikko in GDPR updates for Invision Community 4.3.3
I just saw this and laughed:
I think consumers are starting to feel that way even more so than businesses.

Yes, my aim is to offer an upgrader option to switch to the subs manager.

Tom S. got a reaction from Matt in 4.3: Leverage your data with our statistic improvements
Wow! Just the other day I was thinking; "I wish I could save filters".
And device tracking is going to be so useful!
