If it's working then it sounds fine. I would argue that the uploads folder is not the ideal place for it (from a picky point of view). Maybe create a new directory called assets or something. assets/fonts

At this stage, any discussion about 5.0 should be about the architecture (dev side) of the product imo. Unless a drastic new feature is planned that would warrant going to 5.0. Nothing the topic starter has suggested would qualify. All these features could be introduced in the 4.x series. (not that they should). Example topic: Should the dependency on PHP be reduced? Many modern websites work in a single page application type format. How about introducing technology such as React.js? What about using the power of Node.js? Could IPS software benefit from having access to npm packages? I think I remember IPS once saying 5.0 would not have a major overall with the architecture of the software. But, seeing how fast the dev world is evolving and changing, it may not be wise decision.

If you want developement work you could hire a developer.

When a user goes to the store they can change the currency using this widget: How can I change it programmatically? I figured it's not a database setting as if I set the currency in one browser, it goes back to the default in a different browser. I also don't see any cookies about currency setting. Is it using $_SESSIONs? I just want to be able to manually change from the default currency if the user is from the U.K. for example.

I'm confused and probably completely miss the point . But how does someone pay with something worth $4,666. (it's much higher now too I believe) To me bitcoin is less a currency and more a commodity. People buy it for its potential value rather than a means to purchase things with. If someone could explain to me how it works I would be thankful.

I think one way of doing it is for each paid file in downloads to be automatically treated as a commerce product. So, then when a user adds a download file to the cart it goes in the Commerce cart. Then check out as normal. Because as far as I know, currently, the only link Downloads has with Commerce is associated files.

I'd like to request an app/plugin that generates an email to users that have added an item to the cart but never completed the checkout. I suggest the following parameters: 1. Set custom title and email content 2. Specify how long to wait before the email is sent 3. Specify to only send emails for invoices containing x,y,z products There also needs to be an option to check that the item was not already purchased under a different invoice before sending the email. I'm sure there are other needs to consider and features to add. Overall I think this would be a popular item in the market place.

It is currently not possible to give your customers the option to manually pay an invoice early or wait for the automatic renewal to kick in once the product expires. If you set the option "Customer can renew" for something like 7 days. If they have a card saved it will automatically bill them immediately once the invoice is generated. (so 7 days before the product expires) It's not a good experience for the customer to be automatically billed a week before their renewal (if they have auto renew on). Yet, I still want to give the option for members who don't have their card saved to pay the invoice early so that their product doesn't run the risk of expiring. So, I'm left in a position where I would like to set it to 7 days but I can't set it to more than 1 day because automatic renewals should always happen as the expiry date is reached. I hope I was able to make myself clear and that the importance of this feature be taken into account.

I use SparkPost to send emails. I installed this file a few weeks ago and it's completely blank. I just sent out a bulk mailing and it still shows: There are no results to display. What am I doing wrong? Please advise.

Pages is an excellent application. After learning it's core functionality, I can see the possibilities of what you can create are endless (or by the limits of your coding knowledge). I think you got discouraged too quickly. I agree that it has a longer learning curve than some of the other applications. But, that's a result of (in my opinion) being the most powerful app IPS offers. Also, I don't think you should perceived the quote from IPS that you shared as negative. All they have said is that you have the freedom to do whatever you want and that if you break the site it's on you, which, is totally fair. The alternative is they limit what you can do with Pages and in that scenario everybody loses. (note: if you use correct practices that IPS outline in their guides, you won't run into trouble) I have a feeling Pages is one of the more popular applications. However, I can agree that to inexperienced people, Pages can be a bit overwhelming to begin with. Maybe more pre-made templates would help with that.
