  1. When images are uploaded in Gallery, I noticed that it saves a copy of the original on the server if you have it set to resize to a smaller size. For example, the uploaded image is 3888x2592 and is 10.2MB in size. Gallery is set for the max image size to be 1600x1200, so it would be resized and have a much smaller file size. To save space on the server is ok to delete the original images that are stored, since they aren't used, or do they need to remain on the server for some reason?

PHP 8.2 will be fully supported in Invision Community 5.

Whilst it may work with earlier versions such as 4.7, it isn't officially supported (there may be issues) and will likely mean that developers mode is unusable..

Glad to hear as PHP 8.1 does not support ImageMagick, but PHP 8.0 and 8.2 do, so that issue might need to be addressed for people not upgrading to v5

  3. I might be missing it, but I would like to see the ability, in the core software, that if you require an age to register, or even better want to limit based on member group, that images can be restricted from from viewing (sort of like how you can do with the download attachments). For example, if a site require you to be 18 to join, any image attachment would not be visible to guest, and have a message that states something like “You must be registered to view this image” or “You do not have permission to view this image”.

I'll be reviewing everything and ensuring the application is working properly on 4.6 soon. Once that's done I'll update the marketplace listing to show official support for 4.6

For those already using it on 4.6, let me know if you run into any issues and I'll get them resolved as soon as I can!

Waiting for you to upgrade it to 4.6. Invision's new way of installing through ACP doesn't give you a way to download it and manually install it, even if 4.5 version may work.

  5. Is there a way to name the files linked by URL, if multiple links are added. Say that I have a book and each chapter has its own link. Right now it just shows the word file. Is there a way to make it where you can name each link, such as Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc. instead of file for each one?

  6. Kevin, is there a way to set the number of collaborations allowed to be created based on usergroups, as opposed to a default for everyone? For example, I would like basic members to only be able to create 1 collaboration, but paying members could create up to 5. If not, can this be added as a feature in a future version.

I realize that if a paying member has created 5 and reverts back to a non-paying member that could be an issue, but basically they just wouldn't be able to create anymore in the future.

  7. I love this script and it has done great to get my community active, especially new members. I want to enable the Facebook Login hander, but as mentioned with the issue above, I can't do so yet. Any estimate as to when an updated version, which addresses the Facebook issue, might be available?
