Take note of the following, epecially if you accept PayPal.
If you disable any of these options beware that without a billing address:
Some payment methods will not be able to be used, including PayPal for card payments, 2CheckOut and some Authorize.Net processors. Any payment methods which are set to only be available to certain countries will not be available. If any tax rates use a rate that is dependent on the customer's location, the default tax rate will be used. Any Anti-Fraud Rules which act on the customer's billing address will assume the customer is not in the country specified by them. If MaxMind integration is enabled, it's ability to accurately detect fraud will be impeded. It is recommended if you use any of these features that you leave all options checked so customers are always asked for a billing address.

It would be very useful if we were able to automate regular recurring bulk email. E.g I want to send a specific email to certain users when certain filters are met and would like to do this on a regular basis. Currently we can only do this as a one off email.

It'd be great to be able to automate an email after a subscription has been created.
E.g a user signs up for a paid subscription, and I'd like to send them a thank you email and provide them with further infomation on their subscription.

Log out of the ACP and back in again.
I had this and found out from support that the message does not clear unless you log out and back in. I wasted a lot of time on it.

@AlexWebsites it's pretty standard for most verticals for ad rates to drop off in new year, so don't worry about that.

I'm still using Ezoic, have used it for years, and haven't managed to find anything better. I'm using Premium, can't remember what level I'm on, but they auto down scaled it due to seasonality. They auto scale it to ensure you're not paying too much for their service. I think they guarantee that you can't earn less incrementally than the extra cost you pay for the premium options.

Payment is a bug bear of mine, they don't take the payment out of your earnings, and you have to pay by credit card. Wish there was at least a PayPal option, and preferably a method to deduct from earnings. They pay out through PayPal or transfer.

I've got a lot to work on with this. I started with running Redis and having caching through Cloudflare. I tried some of the optimisations in Ezoic and had issues with CSRF keys with Invision. I had it running blistering fast, sub <2s then I started experiencing issues with users logging in. This is something I really need to start from the ground up again, but just haven't had the time.

@AlexWebsites Hi no I haven't tried that method, it was available when I moved to Ezoic. It's probably a less resource intensive method than setting cookies, and saves the issues around cookie deletion. I'll have to take a further look when I have time. Cheers

I've recently moved one of my sites over to Ezoic. It was pretty easy through cloudflare. I had to disable some of the JS, CSS and minify settings under LEAP though, because of issues.  For disabling ads to subscriber groups, have you tried setting a meta tag under disable ads by page? Create a meta tag and then wrap it to show only for certain user groups you don't want to show ads to. Create the name and content, something like:
    {{if member.inGroup('x')}} <meta name="ezoicstopads" content="subscribers" /> {{endif}}

@CoffeeCake I've realised my comment wasn't very clear. There are different types of plan, e.g. Ezoic+, Premium and Pro. Premium and Pro are both invite only, which I am on. But inside these plans there are different tiers you can pay for. Essentially the higher priced tiers allow more availability to the premium publishers. They have paid plans up to $50k a month. The good thing is you can't choose a plan above the predicted revenue you'd make, and I believe it auto-scales down if you had a sudden traffic loss to mitigate the fees being more than the revenue.
With Ezoic+ I belive there is a fixed percentage of revenue option, but this is for low traffic sites. You'll still make more money than with Adsense but you won't get access to the premium inventory. And even with a premium plan, the highest paid ads will go to the highest paid plans.
I use their native CloudFlare integration and automatic ad-placement. It took a few weeks for their platform to learn, and I get more ads than I'd like. But I've setup my site to remove ads for paying users. I'm not sure I've got that balance right yet. You can control the ad-placement and maximum ads shown in the platform.
They also have a designer view, where you can view your site and choose where ads are placed. It's'really easy to setup, depending on your plan, they can also do it for you.

Thank you @Marc Stridgenthat fixed it, I had only added the GTM code, but it was an older version of the globalTemplate.

You would need to revert your globalTemplate there. At some point you have edited that template, and therefore its not updated. So your theme at present doesnt have the changes required to add that menu

You definiately get better revenue from Ezoic over Adsense as you have access to Google's premium inventory. There's a couple of downsides 1. You have to pay in advance for use of their platform by credit card, rather than them take it from your earnings which are paid by PayPal. 2. There's various levels of paid plans, the more you pay the more you make. But there's no automatic scaling of plan. It'd be better if it automatically scaled based on volume and ad inventory and just charged you from your payout.
If these two issues were combined in one solution it would be an incredible product. I'd still recommend it though.

Browser side resizing is far from best practice, this puts all the work on the client and slows the page load time. The correct image size for the viewport should be returned from the server.  As a minimum IPB should natively serve webp images and preferably to have integration with an image CDN such as https://www.imgix.com/ or https://cloudinary.com/

I think the general consensus of dissapointment is that WebP support in IPB is limited to file uploads. It doesn't automatically serve reprocessed WebP images to supportive browsers. Which is what would have been expected.
