  1. Take note of the following, epecially if you accept PayPal. If you disable any of these options beware that without a billing address: Some payment methods will not be able to be used, including PayPal for card payments, 2CheckOut and some Authorize.Net processors. Any payment methods which are set to only be available to certain countries will not be available. If any tax rates use a rate that is dependent on the customer's location, the default tax rate will be used. Any Anti-Fraud Rules which act on the customer's billing address will assume the customer is not in the country specified by them. If MaxMind integration is enabled, it's ability to accurately detect fraud will be impeded. It is recommended if you use any of these features that you leave all options checked so customers are always asked for a billing address.
  2. It'd be great to be able to automate an email after a subscription has been created. E.g a user signs up for a paid subscription, and I'd like to send them a thank you email and provide them with further infomation on their subscription.
  3. It would be very useful if we were able to automate regular recurring bulk email. E.g I want to send a specific email to certain users when certain filters are met and would like to do this on a regular basis. Currently we can only do this as a one off email.
  4. It would be great if we could use the language tags within alert content. e.g. {member_joined} etc
  5. I'm using subscriptions. I'm genuinely surprised there's no native way to do this.
  6. Hi, I want to send automated welcome emails which are to a specific user group, e.g. paid users who have purchased a subscription, with their user ID. I can't find any nice way to do this. Bulk email - would be a good option but can't schedule to run daily, and is not reliable due to running as a background task Alerts - this could work, but you can't use tags in content so I can't add the user ID Auto Welcome plugin - this is great but can't specify a specific group Language strings - can't change “email_reg_complete" as can't specify specific group and is very rudimentary Is there any other way or plugin you know of I can use? Thanks
  7. OMG. Thanks for this, I've just spent the last hour going around in circles wondering why it wasn't working.
  8. Hi all, thanks for the replies. I found the issue, I had malware on the server which had inserted a dodgy .htaccess file, I've restored to an early backup. But I have no idea how long the Malware may have sat dormant so looks like a full server move is now the next step.
  9. Hi, I'm not sure if this is directly related, or if it occured earlier and I didn't notice. I've upgraded to v4.7.1.3 and my homepage yamahaclub.com is displaying a 504 “Gateway Timeout” Error, the main forum pages yamahaclub.com/forums are working fine. I have Invision pages displaying at the root, yamahaclub.com and forums on the subfolder. I've tried deleted my cache, cookies, etc, I've ran the diagnostic tool and deleted caches, and not sure what else to try? Anyway would love some help and would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Alex
  10. @Matt Finger Hi, are there any plans to bring the dataLayer support to the other Invision apps? Especially commerce? Cheers
  11. Thanks @Marc Stridgen This is the original news article: https://yamahaclub.com/forums/news/interviews/unveiling-yamahas-vision-for-the-future-an-exclusive-interview-with-yamaha-motor-europes-president-ceo-eric-de-seynes-r871/ And this is the topic created in the forums: https://yamahaclub.com/forums/topic/47870-unveiling-yamahas-vision-for-the-future-an-exclusive-interview-with-yamaha-motor-europes-president-ceo-eric-de-seynes/
  12. Thanks @opentype @Marc Stridgen I created a new 4.7.11 theme which is not modified and I'm still getting the same issue.
  13. Thanks @Marc Stridgen I've tried taking a lookat the database templates and had a few questions please. 1. What Database Template is used for the topic, where the database automatically posts the news article as a topic to forums? 2. How do I know what version the database templates are? Cheers
  14. Hi all, I've just noticed that when sharing articles from pages to forums, the forum post at the top has the following script code visible in the text. {{if $formValue}} {$value} {{endif}} Any ideas what is causing this? Cheers Alex Using: v4.7.11.1
  15. Oh wow at that level I'm very surprised mediation would win. Have you heard back from Ezoic?
  16. @AlexWebsites I checked back and I haven't lost impressions to mediation in the two year period I looked. It made me think though, what level are you on? The higher the level the higher paid ads you get. I'm mostly on 2 Elite but fluctuate to 3.
  17. I haven't noticed any issues, I suppose it depends on what industry you're in. Have you reached out to your publisher manager? They'll do a free audit of your setup.
  18. Just wondering if anyone had tried this yet?
  19. @Jirinex sorry I don't use their cloud caching service.
  20. @AlexWebsites it's pretty standard for most verticals for ad rates to drop off in new year, so don't worry about that. I'm still using Ezoic, have used it for years, and haven't managed to find anything better. I'm using Premium, can't remember what level I'm on, but they auto down scaled it due to seasonality. They auto scale it to ensure you're not paying too much for their service. I think they guarantee that you can't earn less incrementally than the extra cost you pay for the premium options. Payment is a bug bear of mine, they don't take the payment out of your earnings, and you have to pay by credit card. Wish there was at least a PayPal option, and preferably a method to deduct from earnings. They pay out through PayPal or transfer.
  21. Hi all, Has anyone tried moving their board over to Zepto from jQuery? Wondering how much work it is and if there is any lacking functionality? Hoping to do this to help with page speed. Cheers
  22. I've got a lot to work on with this. I started with running Redis and having caching through Cloudflare. I tried some of the optimisations in Ezoic and had issues with CSRF keys with Invision. I had it running blistering fast, sub <2s then I started experiencing issues with users logging in. This is something I really need to start from the ground up again, but just haven't had the time.
  23. @AlexWebsites Hi no I haven't tried that method, it was available when I moved to Ezoic. It's probably a less resource intensive method than setting cookies, and saves the issues around cookie deletion. I'll have to take a further look when I have time. Cheers
  24. @CoffeeCake I've realised my comment wasn't very clear. There are different types of plan, e.g. Ezoic+, Premium and Pro. Premium and Pro are both invite only, which I am on. But inside these plans there are different tiers you can pay for. Essentially the higher priced tiers allow more availability to the premium publishers. They have paid plans up to $50k a month. The good thing is you can't choose a plan above the predicted revenue you'd make, and I believe it auto-scales down if you had a sudden traffic loss to mitigate the fees being more than the revenue. With Ezoic+ I belive there is a fixed percentage of revenue option, but this is for low traffic sites. You'll still make more money than with Adsense but you won't get access to the premium inventory. And even with a premium plan, the highest paid ads will go to the highest paid plans. I use their native CloudFlare integration and automatic ad-placement. It took a few weeks for their platform to learn, and I get more ads than I'd like. But I've setup my site to remove ads for paying users. I'm not sure I've got that balance right yet. You can control the ad-placement and maximum ads shown in the platform. They also have a designer view, where you can view your site and choose where ads are placed. It's'really easy to setup, depending on your plan, they can also do it for you.
