  1. Thanks, I still don't know about my main app, can't contact the author. I don't really want to find out by having to upgrade and then not being able to use it.
  2. The apps I have are an adblock checker, email address confirmation by you, and a match ratings application that I haven't been able to contact the author about. The plugins are EZ Scroll Top by guyroch, Supergrid by opentype, Online Indicator by -FP and Ban from topic by Dawpi
  3. How do I know if my apps/plugins are not going to break during this upgrade? Some of the authors are not contactable
  4. I just recently changed the archiving to more than 5 years to more than 6 years (don't ask) and I've noticed the size of the database has grown. This was before and now after The posts table has increased from 2.6 to 3.3 gb as I expected given a years more posts are now accessible but archive posts has increased from 3.7gb to 4.4gb even though it should have a years less posts in there now. Has something gone wrong?
  5. Is there any way to add something to it if its Invision Community optimized or do I need to change to custom, and I assume copy and paste what's currently in there set by Invision
  6. Should I be blocking this though or allowing it?
  7. Been told by my hosts that this Amazon bot is making a lot of requests to my site, around 18,000 daily. Does anyone know what it is and can it be blocked?
  8. I’m guessing it’s to do with clocks going back but the timing of posts are messed up over night. I first noticed it on my site and then checked here and the same is happening, see this topic for example and look at the post times and order they are in
  9. They are InnoDB. ibf_core_search_index is quite large in size
  10. I created a new member group and tried multiple times to save permissions but it was hanging, eventually ending with this error below. After this error, I went back and tried again and it saved properly. But thought it was worth mentioning
  11. If I remove it then what happens to all those that signed up using facebook and are still using it now?
  12. Has anyone else had to do this? I don't have an official business so couldn't get anywhere with business verification on facebook.
  13. I've had around 10 spam accounts from India over the last 48 hours. When checking the IP, they are all from India. This morning I set it so that accounts from India are under manual review and yet 5 minutes ago I've got a new account posting spam, and the IP is from India.
  14. I've got an empty notification of Members requested Account Deletion: which has been there for a few weeks. There was a member in there, which I deleted through the members area so I could keep their posts as Guest posts (I wasn't sure if I could do that through the notification itself). But since removing the member, the notification albeit empty now has remained.
  15. I know, my issue is I regularly get 500+ guests on my site during the live events and they won't be seeing the posts they want to see (if moving to Cloud hosting)
  16. 15 minute cache is unacceptable, if someone wants to read the latest posts of a live event (a football match) at say the 31st minute, a goal is scored or conceded, they want to read the comments. The arrive on the forum and see a load of comments unrelated to the goal on the latest page, as its 10 minutes behind. This causes frustration amongst viewers.
  17. As mentioned in this topic below, guests are seeing pages too much out of date. It may be fine for not very active forums but for busy forums, and especially those during a live event it has a negative effect for guests to see posts that are not in line with the live event - upto 15 minutes behind. And revisiting makes no difference, the posts don't get updated. This is why I always set guest page cache to 30 seconds, but now with that gone I have made similar changes to Cloudflare. Please do the same or give those using Cloud an option. It's one of two issues I have left with it, if this can be sorted I would be very close to joining.
  18. You've not received feedback as most are not even aware. I mentioned it to someone who runs a football forum like mine, who moved the cloud hosting and he wasn't even aware of it. But if I've got 500+ guests wanting to see the latest views on a live event, and they are seeing a cached version of the forum that isn't updating, they keep checking but its the same page as they read 5 minutes ago (yet on the live forum, there's been 100-200 posts since that they can't view). It's not going to encourage them to keep checking the forum each time something happens during this live event.
  19. Quite poor this is. If you want to host as well you need to fix things like this (and also listen to criticism) I'm pretty sure back when we had a ticket system this would have got seen to.
  20. It is a problem as they shouldn't be forced to log in, they shouldn't see an out of date forum. I also rely on advertising revenue and I personally show more adverts to guests so members have a better experience so forcing them to log in has never been in my thoughts.
