  1. tbh, this argument is like the Top button argument. The functionality has not changed, only been moved. Example, top button no longer exists as you can use your keyboard or scrollwheel. No point having double functionality. This argument, EXTENDS functionality, giving the user the ability to choose whether or not to open it in a new window (popup/whatever.... which is bad practise). Left click = current window. Middle click = new window/tab. If you want though, the setting is there to open in new window, then all you have to do is delete the content cache from the BBcode page, and all links will open in a new window. Simple.
  2. Not for anything I plan on releasing, but for something I plan on using on my board, yes. :P
  3. aaah, Very nice. That is exactly what I wanted for something I'm working on if I'm honest. :P
  4. Now, I hate to be stupid. :P Everything suggested sounds like something that could be useful to me... but, how exactly do you access them?
  5. Makes sense to be at the top. You post at the top, and your update appears at the top. :P
  6. As I have said many times before (I was not one who submitted a ticket, btw), the way the view new content is now, is the way it should always have been. Why do I want to see a topic that I have just read in the NEW content page? I don't: Simple. Now, it only shows topics that I have not read, like the name suggests. I will say though, that perhaps there should be a cut-off point/date/time for the number of results, as, it can get a bit full if you haven't visited for a long time. Maybe add some form of ACP setting to limit the number of days the results display to? Will also reduce server load. ;)
  7. Forgot it was there.
  8. http://www.invisionpower.com/piracyreport.php Needs updating (just checking you know) :)
  9. I know this is nowhere near the right place, but if you want to 'disable' the IP records, just add a simple line of code to conf_global.php $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] = '127.0.0.1'; Then turn off all IP matching etc and everyone's IP address will resolve to localhost. Edit: Keep in mind, this is at no place recommended, as it does disable important security features. I seriously would just remove the IP line from the skin, and it is not visible at all.
  10. A hell of a lot faster now. :)
  11. Yeah, the AIM field is not available to be edited in My Settings area. :)

    IPB RC 2

It makes no difference. Codebox does not have a max height anymore. Still, that was one huge log.
  13. I don't mean useless as not being worthwhile, I mean useless as being how many users will actually bother changing the settings. :)
  14. Sounds great, Brandon. :) Users on our site are freaking over not having their table layout. I've already had to hack into the code to add back the page numbers (which surprisingly wasn't able to be skinned in) and to revert the change to what type of posts are shown (unread or new) against my wishes (I feel the new way is a lot better. I don't want to see 'old' content on the view NEW content page) As much as it adds possible useless options, for 3.1, I think the user should be able to choose what type of content to show (unread or new) and whether or not in tabular format, or the current format.
  15. It has the comma here for me on Brandon's profile. :s

    No Pips?

I really don't know why myself, I just had a folder of random images from random sites. That was in there.

    No Pips?

    You mean these?
  18. It has been in all the announcements, AND in the install instructions that PHP5 is required to use IPB3. :)
  19. Looks a bit better. Just having a forum/topic marker there though would make it a bit more useable. I also think each forum should have stats in the brackets. Not just categories. :)
  20. Yeah, I've noticed this (even in the ACP on a couple of pages) and it can get annoying. :)
  21. As far as I remember, the link was always at the bottom, just above the board statistics....

    Swine flu?

I'm in the UK. :P It's a case of trusting the NHS with your worries or stick with them. I chose to stick with them! If it's bad on Monday, I'll do something about it.

    Swine flu?

20 minutes after I clicked it, I actually started sneezing.
  24. My download description sounded better. :P
  25. With the experience I'm having with it, all I can say is that I'd have paid another $5000. ;)
