Glad you were able to resolve your issue here. Thanks for the update too!

It is also possible that the visual translation tool is still enabled? This can be disabled via the AdminCP.

I would advise checking to ensure that your language pack is up to date and compatible with 4.7.2. You can check this by creating/switching to an unmodified language pack. If the error does not persist then this is an issue with your language pack.

Works but will not show in your 4.7 Marketplace Admin CP. Currently awaiting for IPS approval.

You have a lot of problems with your servers setup on PHP 8.1 there by the look of it. As mentioned above, those arent related to our platform. The init.php file is actually the only file there that is part of our platform at all and even that error message is referring to something outside of the software

Based on that error log, this is not something related to Invision Community but some other kind of gallery script.

When I scale font size in the theme editing, it does not apply to mobile font size. It is still small.

I use default theme with slightly changed colors via Easy Mode Editor. No custom CSS.

This is similar to when Google created Alphabet to enable them to expand into other markets. Clearly Facebook understand that it is past its peak and can now only decline so it makes sense for them to look at where they can go next.

I'm not overly keen on living in a Facebook universe though.

Contact your host and request to active the gzip. This will help you a lot. Another good point is try to use CLOUDFLARE.

Silnei L Andrade reacted to Jordan Miller in Hump Day: 4.6 Beta 2 is live!
Happy Hump Day, fam! Before we dive into the goodness, I just want to say thank you for being a part of Invision Community. It's been really fun to see community members and the IC team become even more unified as we've rolled out 4.6. 🥲
Speaking of...(!!!) 4.6 Beta 2 is now live! 🎉
It's worth reminding you this is the third Beta version (it follows Beta 1 and Beta 1.1).
We collected a roundup of changes needed and spent the last week implementing updates.
Not only did @Matt write an epic blog post about what you can expect to see in 4.6, he also relayed this list of fixes 🤯
Added a no search results message when searching Pixabay and Giphy. Added truncated views for status updates. Added a new check to make sure a datastore method is working before using it. Clarified that a template must be saved when editing template variables/attributes. Fixed an issue with an alert message not showing when selecting ‘Administrators’ as Secondary Group for Members. Fixed an issue when an anonymous online status doesn’t persist across logins when using button log in methods. Fixed an issue where it wasn’t possible to grant access to the email stats page to a limited Administrator. Fixed an issue where the Standard login handler title isn’t saved on edit. Fixed some admin control panel live search results linking to the wrong page. Fixed an issue where text when using the visual language editor could be white on a white background. The last post date in fluid view will no longer extend beyond the browser width on mobiles. Fixed an issue where JSON-LD data was badly formatted for Question/Answer forums or when “Enable Solved” was enabled. Fixed an issue where phrase searches containing stop words could return no results. Added an option for members to cancel expired subscriptions to be able to purchase another subscription. Fixed an issue where PayPal Billing Agreements / Subscriptions may not include sales tax. Fixed an issue when approving a held Stripe transaction if the payment has already been captured. Fixed an issue where an empty donations page was visible creating a soft 404.

4.6's official release date for all is set for the first half of June.
Beta versions are available for Cloud clients (by request), or can be downloaded if you are self-hosted (proceed with caution and please make a backup!).
Have YOU been testing out 4.6? What are your overall thoughts now that you've had a minute to soak it all in? Sound off in the replies!

Another vote for .webp image files to be shown inline in IPS.
I've started seeing this format crop up on web sites and both Safari and Chrome support it.
    Thank you.

Why are invisioncommunity devs so blind for webp?

It's not like it requires any other extra work, since the compression of webp is already existant by nature.
Simply allowing webp by default shouldn't be the biggest deal, or is it?
It's already widely accepted by all major browsers, so there's no excuse on that anymore, especially not since you dropped IE support yourselfs.
But still, every request and any conversation about webp have either been put down, or ignored.

Could we please get an explanation why you're so anti-fast-web?
I'm honestly wondering why is that.

I'm also wondering if the spacer.png image load implementation is still best practice either.
Wouldn't it make more sense to add native lazy loading instead?
Really keen to live up to todays SEO standards and performance requirements.

Silnei L Andrade reacted to jair101 in User lost followers after upgrading to 4.5
I assume it has to do with a question asked during the upgrade. Followers and followed content takes a lot of db space, so the question was whether you want to prune some of the data based on IPS defaults or you want to set the settings yourself. I assume you clicked through to do it the IPS way.
If it is any consolation, the removed followers were probably inactive for very long on your board.

I support this idea. Also, on mobile, it would be nice to increase the default font-size for pages. This would help a bunch for those with less than 20/20 vision, myself included. I hate having to zoom the page to read text comfortably since the entire width of the page no longer shows in the viewport (leading to a bunch of swiping left and right). Perhaps a Switch to Dark mode and an increase default font-size could be added to the hamburger menu to quickly control these theme settings by the user.
