DawPi reacted to Marc Stridgen in Attachment images broken after upgrade from v3 to v4
There wouldnt be any simple way in which to achieve this. I would suggest employing a developer to assist you with achieving this. It may be worth looking through the providers section for people who offer these services. There are quite a few offering 3.x upgrades

DawPi got a reaction from Adriano Faria in how to save a discussion or a comment ?
They should utilize the built-in bookmark feature available in most browsers or use an app like Pocket. It's often more effective than other apps.

DawPi reacted to Randy Calvert in JSON and XML applications files freely available
No... not really. Those are default values... not necessarily YOUR values. For example, settings.json has existed for literally a decade. The schema data is not sensitive data either. If an attacker can run direct queries on your database, you've got much bigger problems than knowing failed_login_count cannot be null or a default value is no. And for furls, if you're not using them, you would see the complete URL anyway. There is no extra security by going to /login vs /index.php?app=core&module=system&controller=login
If someone is REALLY that interested in knowing the default out of the box settings as an attacker, they could simply download the software source code itself (legally or illegally) to find them. But there is nothing there that exposes anything about your install vs a vanilla fresh/clean install.

DawPi got a reaction from Jelly Belly™ in Exif Data
Use my support topic to get any info or confirmations. IPS closed MP here so we need to use our own systems to provide it.
Thanks for understanding!

DawPi reacted to Jim M in License for free, is it myth or reality?
It is not common for us to give our software away for free, after all, we are a for-profit business 🙂 . None-the-less, you're more than welcome to ask sales. You may get a nice, fluffy hug from Charles (which may be better than the software 🤣).

You didn't get it. Any clickable urls in the profile, added by the owner, should be hidden on mark as spammer. That would be awesome then.

DawPi reacted to opentype in Feature request: better control of bulk mails per time
There is already the BULK_MAILS_PER_CYCLE constant to solve issues with hosts that have trouble with many emails at once.
Equally, if not more important, is how many emails are sent in a given timeframe. It’s normal for hosts and email services to have some kind of limit in that regard, but with the way IPS sends out bulk mail, it unpredictable when these limits are being hit and there is no way around this problem when the limits are hit.
I suggest a solution like a MAX_MAIL_CYCLES_PER_TASK constant or setting to limit the amount of cycles run each time a cron is being fired. So, for example, I could set 1 run of 100 emails with the cron running every minute resulting in 1000 mails in 10 minutes.
I understand that IPS isn’t all that focussed on features that would only help self-hosted customers, but it seems like an easy implementation which could help a lot of users. It’s actually the behaviour that people are already expecting.

DawPi got a reaction from spacecadet in I bought a plug-in from this developer and haven't recieved the file...
You may try reach him on his official board - https://www.devfuse.com/forums/
Many people have been attempting it for several months, but have yet to achieve any success.

DawPi reacted to opentype in How to find an app?
Mixoh’s last posts were in 2020, so I don’t think these products are being maintained anymore. Not to mention that the account is listed as “male” in “Ukraine” and software support isn’t the highest priority there at the moment.

-
DawPi reacted to Adriano Faria in 4.7.15 changes
You should add in the Changes affecting third-party developers and designers the new parameter in the \IPS\Node\Model::setLastComment().
This is breaking/locking the apps and crashing the whole board install and requires the immediate attention of the developer.
