preg_replace(): Passing null to parameter #2 ($replacement) of type array|string is deprecated

When I logged into my site ACP, I received this message "The last 4 emails the system attempted to send failed. This indicates there is probably an error with your email settings."

My method of email delivery is PHP.

Emails have been sending just fine, at least I thought.

I have also come across this message checking the settings.

A test email could not be sent. Check the settings entered are correct or contact your hosting or SMTP provider for more information.

Return type of IPS\Patterns\_ActiveRecordIterator::count() should either be compatible with Countable::count(): int, or the #[\ReturnTypeWillChange] attribute should be used to temporarily suppress the notice

I ran a test email to see if I received it, but I didn't.

  2. Hello,

I am currently using SendGrid, however, I only send out automated emails via my IPS site, and I am looking at ways to cost-save. I have seen an alternative option, which has Zapier integration but they also offer an API service.

I'm curious, would zapier integrate their service to my community, or should I look for a developer to connect their API?

  3. I had it working fine, but today I woke up to a message saying Redis is not configured. I have since lost the option to use it. I am using DirectAdmin (not cPanel).

The commend to see if Redis is work, said that it wasn't found and further below mentioned it was running.

I have since managed to get it to report as it's running, but I still have no options to use it.

I have the social logos at the bottom of the board. The X logo (black circle, white X) doesn't line up with the others. It's too high.

Could contain: Logo, Hockey, Ice Hockey, Ice Hockey Puck, Rink, Skating, Sport

Is this just me? It's the same on the IPS Support theme.

Twitter (X) is shown exactly like this, not inline with the others.

    Proper way to exit:

    1. Give info to your customers before even leave the seen...
    2. Properly transfer your script to a new coder that can continue service.

This is something you absolutely must take on the chin, and whilst I understand your point - it is not always possible to provide visible updates to everyone and nor will everyone read them. There are updates on Michael John's site, albeit a bit old, but I don't believe he's someone who would just walk without trying to address things.

If you managed to get your money's worth from the app, then that's at least one good thing. I would definitely recommend purchasing Adriano's app.

Yet anything in the real world can and will happen, it's not always as simple as leaving updates and as you mention. Devs won't simply give their resources away for free; it takes a dev to pick them up and to pay a fee for them. In most cases, I think it's more common to see a new resource created from scratch.

Keep in mind that some Dev's have died, others have left in bad ways, but Michael is between this as far as I can tell. Whatever has his focus must be very important to him.

Adriano is doing great, and I thanked him all the help he provided me...

This is not about another person app; it is about courtesy.

I get what you are saying, but it's not something to be expected.

It's a gamble on our part; you pay for the resource as it stands and Michael is one of those devs who add features to improve his work without additional fees. Whilst an explanation to say "I am unable to provide updates for the foreseeable future." would be nice.

    There are no guaranteed expectations.

I don't think we as clients have that right either, at least not to demand it. As I say, I get the frustration, but I sway more towards concern than outrage.

  6. I used to have tabs that followed quite an in-depth structure, but I can't replicate this with 4.7.13.

    Tab
    -Tab
    --Tab Item 1
    --Tab Item 2
    --Tab Item 3
    --Tab Item 4

The drop-down option, I don't like. I don't think all visitors will realise you have to press on it.

I don't see any means of going beyond the depth of two links.

    Am I missing something?
