Now Hiring: Support

IPS is seeking knowledgeable and industrious individuals to join its support team as product specialists.

Successful applicants will be responsible for answering general support tickets, including providing customers with information, troubleshooting problems and performing maintenance. You would be expected, where appropriate, to interact with other technicians and developers to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Must be familiar and have extensive experience with IPS applications.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
  • Must be able to effectively telecommute.
  • Must speak fluent English and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with working in customer support.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Knowledge of server administration and experience working for a web hosting company.
  • Knowledge of additional web technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, JSON, XML, etc.

All positions are part-time with full-time opportunity. Schedules are flexible and salary will be based on knowledge and experience.

Applications are now closed. Thank you to everyone that applied and those who were not contacted will remain on file for first-contact for future positions!

I would do this for free tbh. But submitting a cv would be pointless considering i have no serious qualifications.

I can speak english, I know css, I know html. I know how to use cpanel, I admin a site and know how to talk to people. and im good with ips 4.0 now. Although i suck at PHP and MySQL. That is unless im being asked to edit things through phpmyadmin or making minor changes to php variables. (Guess i could learn, taught myself everything else.)

oh well. i could have done with the cash :D and something to do!

It is a remote position. Techs don't really Skype all that much, but we use HipChat a lot.

I think they'd be far more popular if they had a completely free option with video chat. Looks nice but because of it's sub-par offering compared to skype I don't think I'd be moving over to this solution any time soon.

It is free, the company pays for it.

This post is a ruse, clearly IPS will be hiring me for my strong previous support of their direction and my charismatic good humor.  The rest of you don't stand a chance.  (I hope Lindsay or Charles didn't spit their coffee through their nose.)

Not sure who "Lindsay" is, maybe you meant Lindy? I think you just lost your chance :p.

Hire me. I'll become IPS' new dictator and give everyone the software for free for an entire year, then charge everybody a mandatory fee of a million bucks and roast chickens from the roof while throwing turkeys at the fascists who try to reign me in.

AHAHAHAHA

World domination through free software. I LOVE IT! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA
