  1. I hope not. If it has you'd be surprised how popular it is to set your own personal message below your username, instead of whatever the forum decides. It needs to stay.

  2. CKEditor 4 is reaching the end of life (source). Instead of jumping onto the CKEditor 5 bandwagon, I propose Invision consider an alternative editor. There are many well-established modern editors such as, for example, TinyMCE, Froala, Quill, and Redactor, to name a few. Any of these would make satisfactory alternatives. CKEditor may be 'old school,' but it has become bloated, larger in file size and load time. Most of the issues it encounters often have to do with responsive layouts on a mobile device and excessive load time. As mobile continues to dominate the landscape, I feel it may be prudent to focus on an editor development that has kept up successfully with the times with the least issues. Changing the editor should not be expected in the next release. But a roadmap should be considered for a future transition. Thank you for your time and consideration. 😀

  3. So our members from 20 years of forums use will lose their hard earned titles. I expect pretty annoyed members. Can we have both?

  4. This is an amazing option we have with Pages, yet it does need some new feature that will make admins work whenever they decide to use Pages easier. First suggestion, we need a "Copy forum to database" option. It is really hard whenever you decide you want to make a new database for new project that already has been using forum has 500 topics more or less, and then move them one by one. Second suggestion, whenever you copy topic to database it has all options, but the time stamp. It's really would be great if you guys add this.

  5. Probably the biggest advancement in Single Sign In seems to me to be the ability for everyone who are logged in to their Google accounts is to display the Use FORUM NAME with Google popup - as Reddit and Pinterest do. @Jordan Invision @Matt

  6. New ranks and achievements is good but the ability to edit Member title and have it below your username needs to stay.

  7. I am not certain if the behavior of mobile push notifications is correct. Every time I get a notification and click to view the content, the notification itself does not disappear (Android). It means the notifications are still there as if I have not yet read the content. I have to go through all notifications and swipe them away one by one. The behavior of other notifications (Gmail, Facebook, WhatsApp etc.) is different. Once I clicked them, they disappear from my notifications stream. This is how I would expect to have IPS notifications as well. Additionally, I wish the notification list in IPS would recognize that I have read the content and mark the notification as read. Right now, if there is a notification, then: I click on it to view it I swipe it away to get rid of I have to open my notification list here to have it marked as read as well. Three actions to get rid of one notification.

  8. This basically deletes user data when upgraded. And changes a core "status" feature our members have strived for. For years. C'mon guys.

    Job Board App ?

Good to hear this is live again. Are you going to give job seekers opportinity to upload & promote their CV's or just keep it to the job opportunities?

    Pay to Pin Topics

Quick report, With this enabled, we can't merge member accounts. We receive an error halfway through and some information will have been merged while some won't, and both accounts will still exist with duplicated information. Merging works fine when we temporarily disable it.

  14. Why not just leave it in? It's already built in. Why we can't have both? Just make it turned off as default for new installations. Why it can't be that simple?

  15. All the current ranks will be removed though, I have a good few 1000 of custom titles already assigned in profiles. Also won't be possible to set a post count required to change it.

Hi, Am I able to restrict how precise a member can pin their location. I'm happy for members to select their town / general area, but not any more specific than that for security/safety. Regards Jim

  17. Thank you. I see what you mean now. There is no such option in the current version.

  18. The old ranks and such were merged into the new Reputation system. If you want to maintain the ability for people to put some text below their name on the post bit, you can use custom profile fields to do the same thing.

  19. I agree. On my site for example the only perk "ranks" give you is the ability to edit your title after x posts, which without doubt users prefer to any "achievement" I could determine for them (unless it was cash or something like that).

  20. Yellow Pages and SuperDirectory are based on IPS’ Pages app. Think of them as a styling optimized for directories. You will not gain functionality as you would with an app that is specifically coded to be directory.

  21. It'd be great if there were an option for announcements to be pushed out as notifications to specific user groups (as in the little bell notifications, rather than a box above the forum/sidebar as it currently is). Not sure if there is a reason this isn't included, but I'm sure many people would have uses for this. 🙂

    Amp pages (seo boost)

We are leaving a lot on the table without this. IP Pages is ripe for being amp ready. Blogs too.

    Job Board App ?

Ok, let me talk about this a bit more. I abandoned the development a couple of months ago because it was very difficult to try to reconcile the interest of all the people who were participating with suggestions. Too hard. Everyone wanted the app to work according to what was best for their forums. This makes development impractical. So I quit. But I continued developing it as a marketplace resource and it will be available on marketplace soon. Here goes some screens of the app (please bear in mind that this is still in development and things can change, especially layout): - Job Opportunity view: - You will be able to create multiple application forms in the ACP: - You can add as many fields as you want per application form: - Each form has its own permission: - So users who are creating a job opportunity will be able to use only forms available to their groups: - The application form when the user clicks in APPLY!, based in the application form chosen when creating the job opportunity: - Adding a job opportunity: You will be able to use Commerce in the application (charge for job opportunity submission). Should be available soon!

Now that Adriano has decided to abandon this developement started in... 2017, anyone else interested to make this happen ? Hundreds of people here showed interest for this, so it should definitely happen 🙂 Anyone interested & app developer, let your voice be heard !
