  1. Now this is definitely on the roadmap. It's in the core framework, so just need to update Pages to use it.

  2. Sometimes I feel like poor little Pages gets no love, the built in Wiki feature is worth its weight in gold. To be able to stand up databases and leverage our members to create/modify those pages....is a HUGE feature. Lets try to flesh out the recognition of our member when they add in information. Right now we can assign points and achievements for creating records, but generally, if I am standing up a huge database....I want to have control over the initial record creation. Why? Well lets take video games, its very easy to go grab a list of every Nintendo Entertainment System game ever released in the USA. However, if I let USERS create those records, generally there may be duplicates, because when it comes to "The Legend of Zelda", how are we handling that name? Under T for The? Under L for Legend? So I generally pick the naming scheme and then dump in the records in mass. But then its up to members to add in the information of said records. But we currently do not recognize revisions in any meaningful way. Lets look at Wikipedia... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda If you go to that page, you can drop down to the revisions.... https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Legend_of_Zelda&action=history and you can then see who the contributors are, and drill down further.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Sergecross73 We can then see the following under his wikipedia profile.... As you can see, very easy to see this user has made 76,400+ contributions to Wikipedia....along with many other automatically recognized "stats". People like to be recognized for their hardwork, even when its just a few mentions on their profile of their accomplishments on a site.

  4. How are you adding this HTML to the editor? Does your member group have permission to post HTML? All posts are cleaned to remove potentially breaking elements, but this is bypassed if you have permission to post HTML.

  5. Just want to say mad respect for the time and attention you put into thinking this all out! We have a bunch of awesome stuff in the works, but I'd personally be interested in us expanding on Pages in the future! It's pretty darn good currently, but yes I'd love to see what else we can do with it as well. 🙏

  6. Invision Community 4.6 brings a brand new achievements system which overhauls the ranks system along with adding the ability to earn points which translates into a higher rank via rules. As part of the clean-up, we removed the custom member title from the author section of the post as there's a limit to how much information we can show comfortably! Of course, some communities used custom member titles and wish to continue using them. Fortunately it's easy enough to get them back. Step 1: Log into the ACP and navigate to Members > Profiles > Profile Fields Step 2: You will see a group called "Retained", inside is a new custom field called "Member Title". This profile field was used in the upgrade to save the custom member title data. Click on the pencil icon to edit. Step 3: Post upgrade, this field is effectively switched off, but it can easily be switched back on. For the "Display format for topics" choose custom and just use: {$content} as the value. This will remove the "Member Title:" prefix. Save the changes. You will now see the member title has been restored. Advanced tip: Only do this if you are comfortable making theme edits! If it all goes wrong, don't panic. There is a revert button to undo your changes! Edit the template bit Forums > topics > postContainer in your active theme and move the block highlighted here up underneath the {{endif}} of the {{$comment->isAnonymous()}} block.

  8. Despite that Pages App has "Reviews" tab for entries they are not used for SCHEMA JSON. There is no rich snippet for it. Google is focusing more and more on direct answers, answer boxes, review boxes, faq schemas. We need those in IPB. Invision teams says on and on about SEO improvements so please add something that really works for SEO and getting higher CTR. I created this topic after getting no help from Invision team here - And I was forced to use support to get answer which was:

  9. I didn't like the badges from when I first saw them. Now that they've been in place for a while, they look even worse. Plus, I have no idea what their purpose is. I have not updated my sites yet, probably in a few weeks. I will definitely not be using the new badge system.

  11. Yes, please! For IPS5, please add a ton of easy-to-use functionality so that we can build great looking pages with much coding-knowledge. Layouts, containers, boxes, everything with WYSIWYG, permission-based displaying... you can basically go through the whole Wordpress/Joomla/Drupal catalog. There is so much room for a true Pages app!

  12. Hi, suggestion is quite simple, when you visit main index page of the gallery where you see latest images right below categories - please add a LOAD MORE button so more image can be continuously loaded. Simple thing but was requested by many long-time users of my board.

  16. Hello, why are group promotion rules only being executed when a targeted user visits the forum again? For example: I have a rule for new people beeing moved to a different group after three days. But this rule is only beeing executed if a user visited the forum again. Then this special user will be moved to the next group. But if a user visits the forum no more again or only after 10 days he stays in this "three days" group. This is not perfect in the case I want to target this three-days audience. Could ips please move this promotion process to any cron job?

Ah, you mean it modified the title of the webpage itself to include it? That's certainly a feature I can work on implementing! It should be simple enough that I could have it out within the next release.

Do you mean display tags in front of the topic title on the forum overview pages? There is indeed an option for that! It should be in the Settings page for the application. If you have trouble finding it let me know! You can absolutely do that with Topic Multimod actions. This adds the ability to set tags/prefixes to multiple topics via Multimod actions, just as AT&P used to.

The application integrates Yandex.Webmaster into your community on Invision Community. The main page displays all the most basic information about the site - the number of critical errors and recommendations, SQI, page indexing chart and sitemap files. Sitemap A sitemap will help speed up the indexing of your website pages, and also prevent the Yandex robot from skipping indexing pages that are important to you. Upload a new sitemap. Remove old card. View information and the number of errors in the file. External links One of the important parameters of any site. Track the dynamics of acquiring new external links directly from the ACP. Data table. A special section in the admin center contains a table with data: how and where the external link is from and where, as well as the date when this link was noticed by the Yandex search robot. Sorting and Searching. You can sort the data in the table by the date it was found, and also quickly find links by source. External link history. View a convenient graph of the history of changes in external links to the site with the ability to select a time period. Search queries The 'Search queries' section will show you the top popular queries for which your site is shown in Yandex search. The table contains the number of impressions / clicks of a particular request and its average position. History of requests. For each key request, you can track the dynamics of clicks and impressions for a certain time. So you can understand how your community is progressing for specific keys. Site diagnostics Get diagnostic reports on the health of your site in real time. There are 4 types of reports, which differ in their importance: Fatal errors, critical problems, possible problems and recommendations. And other Notifications. You can configure the receipt of notifications for a specific event, for example, when a site parameter is changed or when a critical error occurs on the site. History of SQI. Track the Site Quality Index and view the history of its changes. You can also download the history of SQI for a certain period of time in CSV format. Broken links. Control the broken links of your site! The table shows the source page of the broken link, where it leads, and the date the link was discovered by the robot. It's simple: fewer broken links - fatter plus for the site. Search pages. Some pages on your site may be excluded from the search. This section will show the latest indexing events, where in the table you will see the pages and their indexing status. Monitoring important pages. Certain sections or pages of your site may be of particular value to you. You can add them for tracking. This way you will receive a notification when the HTTP status of the page or its important Description and Title tags have changed. Re-indexing pages. You can send up to 130 pages for reindexing every day. For this, a special button has been created right on the site. This makes Yandex bots more likely to find out about your new or changed content.

  29. Just a closure on this. He left all conversations we had and apparently sold the account to someone else, not honoring 4 out of 5 items of our deal. The only one that worked was the files transfer to my account because it didn’t depend on him; it was done by IPS. He even sold some files twice (to me and to another developer), who only got the money back via PayPal dispute! So that’s it, if you purchased the resource on his site and you can’t prove it somehow (credit card or PayPal transaction), you will have to purchase it again on IPS, just in case you want to get updates. I will request to lock this topic.

  30. As some of you may already know, I'm supporting @TheJackal84's file since March, 19. We started to talk about this deal on Feb, 21. So in this regard, I would like to state publicity that I am not getting the expected return/attention from TheJackal84, which has not: given me the list of purchasers of the resources in his website. So what it has to do you with you? I'm not able to add a purchase here on IPS so you can keep downloading updates, if you purchased it there. Why I can't? Because I can't simply trust in words from everyone that requests files. I need to make sure you purchased and when they will expire. Just checked his website and his community doesn't exists anymore: https://flashmodding.com/. If it was there yet you would just need to take a screenshot from the Manage Purchases page. So you can still prove your purchase by sending a PM with the PayPal purchase, etc. In sign of good faith, I will add a full year of support to the proven resources, without take the renewal date in consideration. provided the XML from the plugins, which we can't download from the new marketplace (4.5), so there's no way for me to support these resources now. I will try to get them with IPS (I will speak directly to Lindy). I would also like to inform you that there are other pending issues that are not relevant for this matter but they definitely exists. Thank you.

  32. I tried to do this but didn't have much luck. I created a custom code button that added an ID to the content so that it could be linked to via a manually created table of contents, however the editor appears to strip out any such IDs and I found no way to get round this. I did consider a more elaborate solution where basically the button would insert a piece of text that is in itself a kind of ID, which is rendered invisible on the article itself. JavaScript could then potentially be used to pick up these elements and scroll to them, however it was a lot of work which wasn't essential at the time so I never pursued it. Personally I think that the ability to create anchors is pretty essential in a robust CMS when managing larger pages, I was surprised to find this functionality absent.
