    "Keep on" badges

Ooooh I like this. It would be interesting if, while having this badge, they're moved to a new group (say a group with additional privileges). If they don't meet the 30 posts that week they're downgraded back to their original group (and thus losing the perks).

    "Keep on" badges

Another possibility regarding badges awarding are the badges the users can own while they keep on certain amount per time. For example a user posts more than 30 posts / week : owns a "keep on" badge that could be named : "active contributor" (or something like that). So if the user goes under the 30 posts / week he looses the badge until he goes to that rate (or more)... That could promote participation in a more permanent way. Regarding milestones and points on that kind of rules I don't know if it can be useful. Milestones could be set on something like "owns that badge since 1 month" (so based on time) ; points make sense only if there are milestones (from my point of view)...

  4. I wouldnโ€™t be so eager to convert everything. First of all, there are still users who cannot see WebP images at all and switching over to WebP without keeping all previous images as fall-back would mean they donโ€™t see any images at all. Second, the format itself doesnโ€™t guarantee better images, especially if the WebP version is generated from an already compressed or optimized source image.

  5. Sometimes I feel like poor little Pages gets no love, the built in Wiki feature is worth its weight in gold. To be able to stand up databases and leverage our members to create/modify those pages....is a HUGE feature. Lets try to flesh out the recognition of our member when they add in information. Right now we can assign points and achievements for creating records, but generally, if I am standing up a huge database....I want to have control over the initial record creation. Why? Well lets take video games, its very easy to go grab a list of every Nintendo Entertainment System game ever released in the USA. However, if I let USERS create those records, generally there may be duplicates, because when it comes to "The Legend of Zelda", how are we handling that name? Under T for The? Under L for Legend? So I generally pick the naming scheme and then dump in the records in mass. But then its up to members to add in the information of said records. But we currently do not recognize revisions in any meaningful way. Lets look at Wikipedia... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda If you go to that page, you can drop down to the revisions.... https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Legend_of_Zelda&action=history and you can then see who the contributors are, and drill down further.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Sergecross73 We can then see the following under his wikipedia profile.... As you can see, very easy to see this user has made 76,400+ contributions to Wikipedia....along with many other automatically recognized "stats". People like to be recognized for their hardwork, even when its just a few mentions on their profile of their accomplishments on a site.

  6. You could do it from my "Manage Purchases" in Market Place, and then go to the file you want to renew. It will show you a new button "Reactivate", so you shouldn't go browsing the file itself then end up buying it again.

    Movies

Just added a TV Show as a test and it is showing in the Activity Stream, however it is being classed as a movie: Thanks for the info @Steph40 ๐Ÿ™‚ Forgot to add the reason I queried this is that I went through several pages of Activity and no TV Shows were showing up, so they must be well down the list lol.

  10. Any update on whether this is compatible with 4.6?

  11. I think it can be done quite easily. Edit the postContainer template. Find "<article" on the same line add after "data-Background =" {$ comment-> author () -> member_group_id}" <article data-Background="{$comment->author()->member_group_id}" [.....] Now in custom.css add: /* Background for the group with ID 4. */ article[data-background="4"].cPost { background: #62c4aa; } /* Background for the group with ID 3. */ article[data-background="3"].cPost { background: #62a0c4; } Change the group ID to your own and customize the background. 12. At the moment, it's configured to just 1 colour for all user groups that have their posts highlighted. This can get a little messy and hard to distinguish in communities where multiple different groups have this enabled.

  14. Just want to say mad respect for the time and attention you put into thinking this all out! We have a bunch of awesome stuff in the works, but I'd personally be interested in us expanding on Pages in the future! It's pretty darn good currently, but yes I'd love to see what else we can do with it as well. ๐Ÿ™

  15. Yeah I was hoping to see images being served webp based on the user's browser to help with image loading speed. Its nice you can upload them now though, but I don't see any functionality outside of accepting webp images. I was doing this with mod_pagespeed but ran into some theme caching issues so I disabled it.

  16. Hi all, Now that 4.6 supports WebP I was wondering if anyone knows how I can reprocess all my forum images to WebP? I've tried using Google's mod_pagespeed server tool before but had issues I couldn't resolve. I've Cheers Alex

  20. True, but it's highly likely that those users are making up less than 1% of my traffic. I wasn't looking to use WebP to give better images, I want to use WebP as from my other sites I've seen it reduce image size on average by about 30% with no trade off on image quality. This made a noticable improvement to page speed and also reduced my bandwidth. I was hoping, well assumed, that the IPB implementation would support the actual serving and processing of the images just like many Wordpress plugins do. It shoudln't be reliant on a user to upload a WebP image, as who the hell would do that. There's free Wordpress extensions which dyamically process and serve WebP images only to browsers which support the format. I'm puzzled why this type of support isn't included in a paid platform.

  21. Thanks Nathan. I rechecked my server and it seems its enabled for GD2 only. I have a CPanel and CentOS 7 based server and apparently need to recompile Imagick with the WebP extension and latest version of libwebp. I had Imagick 7 and WebP support before my recent container move last week but also Imagick 6 kept reinstalling itself and taking over. Updated today: How to enable the webp image format for use with ImageMagick on cPanel

  22. A simple check: open the phpinfo page, via the support dashboard in the ACP. Search for webp: If GD/ImageMagick (whichever you have enabled in the 'Image Settings' in the ACP) don't display those then no webp.

  23. If your GD/ImageMagick libraries (whichever one you may be using) support WebP you will see webp listed on the allowed extensions when uploading images.

  24. AFAIK they've been a little vague about how support for WebP images works in 4.6. A search for WebP in the AdminCP live search brings up no results. The quality setting is mentioned in Image Settings. My server has support for WebP but if I go to upload a Logo in the theme settings it doesn't mention WebP at all, just gif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png. Same if I go to upload a profile cover photo. If I try uploading a WebP image, I get a message saying "Allowed file extensions are: gif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png", even though I have Allowed File Types set to the default of 'All Files', Allowed File Extensions set to 'No Restriction', ImageMagick and GD2 installed with their PHP extensions. I was interested to see how this would work because despite being around for a decade or so, it's only now that modern browsers support WebP, only Safari on MacOS has some remaining caveats. Using a picture html element is recommended to provide fallback PNG/JPEG etc images, but it gets tricky with background element images. You might be better with an on-the-fly type service like Cloudinary or Cloudflare's offering at the moment, they have a free tier.

  26. Based on https://squoosh.app you could try their CLI tool to batch convert a folder... https://github.com/GoogleChromeLabs/squoosh/tree/dev/cli Or API: https://github.com/GoogleChromeLabs/squoosh Or Google's own CLI... https://developers.google.com/speed/webp/download

  27. Version 6.0.2

    3,693 downloads

Show a legend of your groups in the Who's Online and Recently Browsing widgets, sorted in the order you specify and linked to the search system. Handy so that people know what those group prefixes and suffixes mean. You choose which groups appear in the legend, and the order they will appear in, with the plugin settings in the ACP. Group links will carry any group formatting (colors, etc.) you may have set. Clicking the entries in the legend takes users to a list of all members with that group designation. Version 6 is for Invision Community 4.5 and above. Tweaks the &q appendage slightly - this is tested but environments vary, give a yell if there are problems. Version 5 is for IPS 4.4.5 and above. Untested on earlier versions. Version 5 addresses changes within the IPS search subsystem that now REQUIRES a query parameter to be passed through. GNI urls now append a "&q= " - and yes, the space after equals sign is intentional and necessary. If you edit the plugin template files, do keep this in mind.

This is absolutely incredible! I use it especially for new members. When they sign up, it sends an automated email welcoming them, along with some need-to-know items. I also send a PM after their first comment congratulating them for contributing for the first time. Sky's the limit. Awesome creation, @rebraf ๐Ÿ‘
