  2. As recommended, I'm creating this topic to reinstate the option to download files manually from the Marketplace. It's bad enough you don't allow the download of apps we purchased when our licence has expired. But, to completely change the way file downloads are handle is a little much. Please don't get me wrong, I love the idea that we can now do it all with ACP, but you shouldn't disable/change the way that a lot of us download files for localhost setups to test our sites before going live. Please, please, please allow the option to download files manually like we've done for so m

All 4.5 releases should be starting to come from tomorrow, I was waiting for final version and it looks like it's been released I have thought about a black market where members buy what they want they sell it at a price they set etc, but anything else for members to sell is impossible really with this app as it requires code to be added to run the items and the only way to allow members to add their own items would require their own scripts added which is a big no Didn't stop will check it no their ain't mate, people earn and use their points to spend so to wor

  6. Lindy. I appreciate you taking the time to respond as well. I agree that this change is useful as it will help novice and less technical users with preventing breakages. However, I do hope that the team will find time to offer the alternative of manual downloads that we have been very much used to, especially for us who like to set up third-party applications before launching our communities or those of us who run intranet-only sites. To me, it seems that with every major release, there are always about three features removed or new restrictions put in place that limit the control of our own c

  8. Since we announced native Invision Community apps for iOS and Android, the response has been incredible. Hundreds of customers registered interest in joining the testing process, and for the initial round we selected around thirty users, roughly split between iOS and Android. Thank you to those testers for their work in reporting issues and providing feedback over the past couple of months. Open Beta I'm pleased to report that we are now ready to begin an open beta of the app, allowing everyone to install it and test it. See below for information on installing the apps. As

  10. Moats have been used for centuries as a way to defend a building from potential attack. A flooded ditch around a castle is a great way to make it harder to be taken. You can't push battering rams against walls, and neither can you dig under the castle. Quite frankly, a moat is a pretty decent deterrent when there are plenty of other castles to pillage. What does this mean for your business? A community can be an economic moat, or in more simple terms, your competitive advantage. When your product or service is surrounded by an engaged community that feels invested in your b

  11. Zapier is a service that allows you to connect over 2,000 web apps. In Invision Community 4.5 we are launching a beta service of Zapier integration for Invision Community in the Cloud. What does Zapier do? Zapier acts as a bridge between Invision Community and other apps, such as Google Docs, Twitter, Facebook, Slack, Trello, Facebook Ads, ActiveCampaign, Zendesk, Asana, Salesforce, Hubspot, Discord, Stripe and more. Zapier has over 2000 apps registered currently, and that number grows every single day. Let us look at a real life example. Right now, if you wanted to add a m

  13. Actually, I would expect quite the opposite. Just as with the movie industry who imposed non-skippable scenes on retail DVDs, or the gaming industry whose certain games impose constant Internet-based license validation for single-player mode under the guise of an "enhanced experience," the nulled/cracked/ripped version provides the best experience. It's only the paying, honest customers who get hurt and punished by these types of imposed restrictions.

  14. Not sure if this is related to the app or IPS, but since Beta 11 (and now 4.5 soft release), I cannot upgrade from; 1.5.3. ACP says that 1.6.0 is released and that I'm up to date? However, I haven't been able to update to that version yet. Edit: Known bug in 4.5, and addressed in 4.5.1

  17. We have removed the session id from the ACP urls, meaning that you have to make sure to use CSRF protections in all your methods which change a state! We also advice to use \IPS\Request::i()->confirmedDelete() in all your methods where you're deleting data! One of the few examples from the MP reviews is this code: protected function approve() { if ( !\IPS\Request::i()->id ) { \IPS\Output::i()->error( 'node_error', '2myApp', 404, '' ); } $a = \IPS\myApp\Item::load( \IPS\Request::i()->id ); $a->open =

  18. Since the new IPB 4.5 Marketplace pushes the user to do everything from the admin instead of switching from InvisionCommunity, in my opinion it's really important to have additional screen elements instead of being flooded with plugins/apps and translations. It would be really useful to have a button/widget to display “My Purchases” so you have a list of everything one owns, from apps, skins and translations. It would also be useful to a wish list, to be able to monitor any offers and support of the developer and since lately they are increasingly publishing Applications with renewals it

  19. Hi guys. I'm sorry for any confusion and frustration. This is something I personally insisted upon and it was done for a multitude of reasons. First and foremost, we want to really promote more harmony within third party applications. 4.4, because of its looser standards that did not require authors to use versioning/update notifications, ultimately allowed a hodge podge of current and outdated resources that would collide with one another (and the core) leading to unnecessary issues, customer frustration and support overhead. With everything managed within the AdminCP, you have easy acc

  20. Exactly that, but it's a bit of a hassle. I get what you guys are saying and understand. Actually I fully support what you say. But, manual download from IPS Marketplace should stay intact. That's all. I appreciate what you guys do and that's why I've chosen IPS as my go to and it's always recommended friends. So please don't think I'm being a nuisance.

  21. I figured there would have been a way to manually grab and install marketplace files post 4.5 as I like to archive old versions and track changes but I wont be able to do that any more? I love the marketplace integration and it makes sense for a lot of users but a manual fallback should still be in place as well.

  22. I don't think it's the issue that you can't point to the marketplace. It's the issue that you can't download and inspect the packages directly from IPS any more. There's now a requirement that the test install have internet access and that you install things before inspecting them, and for localhost installs, you can't install and test applications and plugins published by the community (without a roundabout process of installing in test and then extracting the resource). For many communities, plug and play is probably just fine. But it's not serving the needs of those clients that have m

  24. Absolutely a necessity to support multiple localhost development environments and to support the download of application/plugins directly from the IPS marketplace as existed in 4.4 and earlier. The inability to download files directly from the marketplace limits severely limits those that have installations that are not accessible from the outside internet, whether that be an internal corporate install or various development / virtualized environments. It also prevents administrators and security folks from being able to audit applications and plugins prior to installation in any environm

  25. Yeah, I can see that point...I don't use hidden posts much but I'm sure others do. My forum has a lot of "how to" tutorial for auto restoration and members used to referenced individual posts inside a whole thread. Maybe the Bookmarks Ap would be a good fit for my members? They would be able to bookmark the important posts for later use!

It was a bug in the code, not in the files you supplied. I don't want to post a release date. It'll be when it's ready, and either before or shortly after 4.5 final is released.

  27. Any methods that alter the state of something. So, saving settings (which happens already if you are using \IPS\Helpers\Form), deleting, editing, etc. etc. So, for instance, on a delete button you would do: array( 'title' => 'delete', 'icon' => 'trash', 'link' => \IPS\Http\Url::internal( "app=myapp&module=mymodule&controller=mycontroller&do=delete" )->csrf(), 'data' => array( 'delete' => '' ) ) Then your delete method would do: public function delete() { \IPS\Request::i()->confirmedDelete(); // ... etc ... } For any other method, y

    Threme - [ UPDATE 4.5 ]

My rating for this product does not correspond to the quality of the design but more reflects to the styles (theme) creator and some issues I have with the custom-ability. The theme is one of the best in regards to the appearance and look of the style itself. So I will break down some of my own pros and cons. Pros: - Great Appearance in regards to design. - Very well priced - Some useful header (banner) options - Lightweight Cons: - Not all style colors can be changed via the admin cp (very limited) - Forum icons cannot be changed without breaking the styl

    4.5: Club Statistics

Statistics can help you manage and monitor the direction of your community, giving you valuable insight into how your visitors are interacting with your site and what areas of your community deserve the most of your attention. With the popularity of Clubs in Invision Community, we determined that some statistics aimed at helping administrators review how this feature is being received by their end users was warranted. Club activity statistics overview When accessing the "Club Activity" statistics page in the AdminCP, you will be able to quickly see at a glance
