  4. We are in the process of translating IPS to German and other languages. While most of the calendar and system is translated, the little mini calendar selection seems to remain in English. So is the date format. For English it is mm/dd/yyyy, but for German it needs to be dd.mm.yyyy While it was possible to change the date format almost everywhere else, this date selection box remains in English (including the weekdays, which also have been translated). Where can we translate this? Thank you.

  5. I would like to see an option where you can send an email to an email address per calendar category. So if you make an entry it gets all ready posted in the calendar and as a post but now as an email.

Afterburner - S3 Advanced Caching (Lite) provides: Increased Caching Performance - Helps reduce page loading times. Increased Caching Efficiency - Helps reduce server load, bandwidth costs. 7. No, it is working just fine as I was looking at it as the admin, when I login as a user it does not show, so all is good! While I got you Adriano, love the way you did the buttons for 4.4 on the "Manage Validating Members" app as that is exactly the way I modified your earlier version to look.

    Videobox

Currently, it grabs the thumbnail from youtube automatically. Anyway, I will update an option enable/disable to require upload thumbnail. I will consider it.

  9. I guess you mean the registration terms? If yes, once you change them in the ACP, you're being asked if you want to force your members to reaccept them.

    Calendar time inconsistent

Great news that the suggestion is possibly percolating. Our needs as an organization are indeed for events associated with local activities in physical spaces. Hence much love for the Venue feature, too 🙂 Totally understand the online meetup scenarios, though.

Excellent addition to Videobox. Developer is one of the best IPS developers. He responds to requests quickly and is always a joy to have discussions with. I'd rate both the developer and the app 10 stars if I could.

Use a service to check your emails. Export out a list of your emails and use a service like this: https://verify-email.org/register/levels.html there are many services out there. For the service I mentioned it is $25 for 20K emails which should take care of you. Research the services, as I haven't used the one I referenced, you might want to pick another one. Here are some others. https://www.emaillistverify.com https://neverbounce.com/ https://www.mailgun.com/email-validation/email-validator/bulk-email-validator You might also want to get this plugin, https://

  13. You've posted a few different things here, so I'll try to address them one by one. The time format used by the form helper (i.e. in your first screenshot) is typically dictated by your browser, and pulls from your computer's locale. We output an HTML element like: <input type="time" name="x"> While we do have a polyfill (which should respect the date/time format specified by your language pack), browsers that understand a "time" type input element automatically build the helpful parts of the input. The short version is - if you use a browser that understands the "time" HTM

  15. I realise the IPS gallery is primarily designed for pictures (especially as all media seems to be referred to as an image, regardless of whether it's a video or not), but I would love to see the functionality of the gallery expanded slightly to better accommodate video files. For example: Automatically generating a thumbnail for a video file if none is selected, rather than just having a grey box to depict 'no thumbnail' A timestamp to show duration of video A standardised, built in video player (rather than using whatever is currently on a user's system) Video c

  16. Hi @FabioPaz Sorry I don't have a comparison test with them, to be honest I'm not a huge fan of the current Pagespeed Insights. I don't see why there wouldn't be a performance and scoring improvement similar to those visible via GTMetrix because additional caching response headers are being added via the plug-in. I find that these days Insights gives me so many different readings every time I run a test, not just a small variation either, but wide deviations with scores fluctuating anywhere from 80s to 90s then suddenly down to 70s without me changing anything; it's just too much al

  18. Just confirming that Afterburner has been tested and works fine with v4.4.4. Updating to IPS 4.4.4? No need to remove, disable or update the Afterburner S3 plug-in when upgrading to IPS4.4.4, it will continue to work in the background as your updated, compressible 4.4.4 JS and CSS theme files export to your S3/Wasabi bucket. Or if you prefer, you can also transfer your theme files only back to the default storage method, upgrade to 4.4.4 and then transfer your upgraded theme files back to your S3 storage.

  20. Hi SJ, Sure, everything is relevant and what benefits one admin may be different to another, but I'll try and answer best I can as I'm keen to avoid making any 'wild claims' and aim to be clear about what it does and doesn't do. First, it's important to note that you "don't need it" or "won't benefit" from it if you are NOT already using Amazon S3 (or it transpires an 'S3-compatible' type storage like Wasabi). S3 is a requirement. The Afterburner S3 Lite plugin is lightweight and currently improves the caching headers ONLY on compressible IPS theme resources (CSS and JS files) s

  21. Would I need this (or benefit) if I am already using Cloudflare? ( I see if your description you say it does but hoping you can elaborate) and follow up question, how much does S3 cost to host this stuff?

  22. Hi @BostonBob The plugin currently just adds the additional headers to the files stored in an S3 bucket, I still use Cloudfront personally but I'm thinking the brand of CDN you use in front of your bucket to distribute your content shouldn't make any difference. The plugin currently doesn't do anything involving Cloudfront or any specific CDN, it just improves the files created as they get stored on your S3 bucket. As long as you are using S3, or as pointed out by a reviewer on the file, it also works with one of the S3 compatible type providers called Wasabi. So if you were jus

  23. Default IPS CDN support would be excellent but this seems like an alternative. I use MaxCDN as my CDN for all my sites. However, I guess I'll start using Amazon S3 with this plugin for all my IPS-powered sites.

  24. Sorry, I'm not sure I quite understand you but to clarify, this is about storing a theme's public, cachable css and js files on Amazon S3. If you don't store them on Amazon S3, or you instead only use S3 for other files or resources such as images, then no, you don't need this. In that case, your server if properly configured should be adding the necessary headers to your js.gz and css.gz files. If you do store your js.gz and css.gz Theme files on Amazon S3, when a visitor loads the IPS website's page their browser will state via sending a Vary: Accept Encoding request header whethe

  25. The term "flame-wars" was coined way back in the 1970s when computer scientists talking in the first electronic discussion boards noticed that here was "an escalation of critical comments and an increase in the frequency with which people would respond with short negative messages." For anyone that has ventured into the comment section of Youtube, read Twitter for more than a few minutes or frequented active forums will know that our behaviour hasn't improved. Sherry Turkle, Ph.D., a psychologist and professor at MIT, conducted hundreds of interviews over 15 years and found that "we
