This application will allow you to verify the true identity of your members based on two methods. Firstly you can verify a member belongs to a specific organisation by their organisations approved email address domain. For example if you want to confirm that a person works for your organisation via email then they can submit an online form, the application will send them an email with a verification code contained within and on entering that verification code back into your website a member will be verified. Verification can add the member to a secondary group to enhance access across your Invision site. Allow only certain email domains such as @yourorganisation.com or @anotherorganisation.com Choose unlimited approved email domains configured via a setting in the ACP Promote member to a secondary group on verification Verification period setting from 1-12 months making the user continue to verify to enhance access On expiry the secondary group is removed Email confirmation sent on expiry to warn the user their account is being downgraded Allow the user to re-verify within 30 days of verification expiry Add custom fields to the verification form to capture all relevant information on application The second method, and the most flexible is for the user to verify in any way you wish. Manual ID verification allows you to create a custom form with any fields you like for the member to complete. This will allow upload of ID documents, photograph, and anything else you feel appropriate. On submission the verification will remain pending until approved by a moderator or admin. Full moderator settings to choose which groups can verify members. Ability to verify or reject applications available from the front end of your site in the Moderator CP. Promote member to a secondary group on verification Verification period setting from 1-12 months making the user continue to verify to enhance access On expiry the secondary group is removed Email confirmation sent on expiry to warn the user their account is being downgraded Allow the user to re-verify within 30 days of verification expiry Add custom fields to the verification form to capture all relevant information on application You can choose which member groups (primary or secondary) can submit each verification method so it is fully customisable. In the ACP you have full admin logs of all actions carried out by moderators, all members are listed with their verification status next to them. Unlimited custom fields. Force re-validation setting to enforce verification before users can continue to use the site. This is a great application that will allow for you to verify all members of your site, or just those wishing to gain access to protected areas or restricted areas of your site. Any questions please feel free to ask.

FYI, in response to being asked about the list from the medium article, Apple PWA dev responded as follows: EVERYONE WHO IS READING THIS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PROVIDE FEEDBACK HERE: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=182566 EXPLAINING WHY PWA PUSH NOTIFICATIONS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO SOFTWARE LIKE INVISION WHERE A WHITE LABEL MOBILE APP FOR EACH COMMUNITY IS NOT FEASIBLE. PLEASE TRY TO AVOID "+1 I NEED THIS" AND PROVIDE AS MUCH SPECIFIC, CONCRETE DETAIL ON HOW YOU WOULD MAKE USE OF THE ABILITY TO SEND PUSH NOTIFICATIONS TO MOBILE USERS AND WHY A NATIVE APP ISNT A SOLUTION I asked Invision if they had plans to make a formal use case proposal through this channel and as of right now they do not, so it is on us as a community to advocate loud and often for why push needs to be implemented on iOS with concrete examples of how our communities would use it (and just as importantly, not abuse it). @Matt, I appreciate that the view is that Apple is strategically holding back push support in iOS so as not to cannibalize the app store, but when the Apple dev who is responsible for implementation is specifically asking for concrete examples from people who would benefit from push API PWA support in iOS, we should still work together to provide that feedback even if it's ultimately a dead-end. @Joel R you are probably one of the best in this community at taking all the noise from in here and distilling into actionable efforts, so anything you can do to help wrangle us into a coherent community driven effort to make our request heard loud and clear to Apple here would be sincerely appreciated. Also tagging some of the devs I see posting often who might be able to help provide the technical info submissions for their apps, etc. @Fosters @Adriano Faria @CodingJungle @opentype @newbie LAC @TheJackal84 @All Astronauts Also, as a final thought, I'm not sure how much communication there is between the development teams for Invision, Xenforo, NodeBB, Discourse, Vanilla, etc. etc., but this is one of those topics where forming a lobbying group of developers where you can aggregate the number of users across all platforms and deliver some consistent messaging would be really helpful IMO. Any victories we can make with PWA in iOS ultimately serves to keep all of our communities alive and able to compete with other closed platforms, as ultimately user engagement on mobile through notifications (and in the case of iOS, the complete lack thereof) is going to make or break many of us.

This is a simple plugin that alters the amount of text/image shown in quote boxes. The changes are purely visual, no permanent change will be done to the stored post. It is also backward compatible with older posts. And everything will be restored if the plugin is disabled/uninstalled. If you're having issues, please send me a personal message. Do NOT post it as a review, as I don't monitor those.

That guy is not an official spokesperson for webkit or apple, however. Apple's dev Maciej Stachowiak (who is one of the lead PWA devs from the looks of it) and Webkit's engineer Chris Dumez have both confirmed on twitter to use the webkit bugzilla for providing the use case feedback on the request. Providing through official apple feedback channels is obviously a good idea too, but feedback of any sort is the key here.

    Mods can edit Administrator Profile?

@Alismora that option is present to prevent administrators from editing administrator accounts (i.e. demoting the main site administrator to a regular member). @Sp4x from a moderation perspective on the front end, we generally don't consider "administrators" to be anything special. The moderators can only edit generic profile information, i.e. they cannot demote the administrator to a different group or change their email address. This is not unintended and the harm the moderator can do is essentially limited to adjusting your custom profile fields and changing your birthday, which really isn't a concern (nor a security issue). Similarly, moderators can delete administrator topics or posts if you give them moderator permission to delete topics or posts.

    Mods can edit Administrator Profile?

The only way they'd be able to edit an administrator profile is if they are listed as an administrator. ACP > Members > Administrators > Edit the group you want to change permissions for > Systems tab > Members > Uncheck "Can edit admin accounts."

New Arcade Plugin for Invision 4.x

It is not my mod. I was given this message however. " I have it on a roadmap with a developer but it's still pre-development. It'll be 3 - 6 months before we have anything to release." I am sure when they have something, they will let us know.

Why not offer push notifications solution

I say leave Apple and it's iPhones in the dust. Why must everybody wait for some company which may end up NEVER doing that? I sincerely believe that you should go with Android which has a HUGE userbase. That would benefit IPS users NOW bring more profit NOW. I honestly can't think why you haven't done this yet. It's not like Apple has 98% of the users and 2% are Android ones..

    Remove ipsAdvertisement Class

I use the basic adblock Google Chrome extension and it blocks anything with ads. The adblocker even blocks the preview in advertisements ACP page. If I turn adblock off the preview banner appears. Test 3 below is using a Toyota image w/ the link https://google.com so there would be no reason for adblock to block a toyota image and a google link. Here is the adblock I'm using: https://getadblock.com/ w/ google chrome.

    Remove ipsAdvertisement Class

Onload time isn't going to work. I'm not paying for a mod and I highly doubt any 3rd party developers are interested in creating a anti-adblock when changing the CSS classes work. I'm not losing impressions and clicks... IPS customers are. My template is modified and my ads aren't blocked. I'm posting this so hopefully others realize what they need to do and in turn write IPS and tell them they need to change this... like 2 years ago.
