Do you want to take our latest release for a test drive? You already are! We've upgraded our own community for wider testing. A big focus has been on page speed, so you will notice that our community is significantly faster that it was on 4.3 If you need a recap of what was added, take a look at our product updates blog which takes you through the highlights. As this is a pre-beta release, expect some funkiness as we scurry around and tidy up our custom theme wrapper and other areas as we spot them. If you you find a bug, we'd love for you to report it with a2 points

Dutch is available. Some movie descriptions might not be translated though, you can test it on the TMDb website. If it is available in dutch there it should also be available in the plugin. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/1399-game-of-thrones?language=nl-NL2 points -

Hi, after converting from MyBB 1.8x to latest IPS Community Suite, i'm having this strange problem with Member User Card, i don't know where to look. Btw., it's not theme fault because it doesn't work on Default theme either. Screenshot: EDIT: Problem solved.. Domain setting was forcing https://, while in conf_global domain was set with http://1 point

Together are we powerful?

Ok... just a hypothetical question... IPS probably has a complete range of types of forums with thousands of categories.... What if IPS decided to compete with Reddit? Reddit forums are almost at the top of the Internet most trafficked sites in the world. What if all of our sites became part of a massive IPS "Community" where we could all keep our own sites, styles ... ownership and monetization... yet be in some sort of larger IPS Forum community like Reddit? Would we have enough traffic to feedback loop and generate even MORE traffic from that? Your thoughts.1 point -

It sounds like you may be just typing a title in rather than selecting a result in the autocomplete. If there are any matching results, it'll suggest possible matches and you need to click on one to select. Please feel free to submit a support ticket if you need any further assistance.1 point

It's possible to pick if the ThreadStarter menu is above or below the editor in the version I just uploaded. If you have multiple ThreadStarter plugins you should update them all.1 point

Newsletters

I misunderstood the issue. Sorry about that. I will look into this either tonight or tomorrow. This means that the video application is missing a language string, though I doubt that would cause a problem with distribution... that error would hit when you are creating the newsletter. Do you have any newsletter content configured for videos?1 point -
Test drive Invision Community 4.4 now!

I would only like lazy loading if it didn't distract from viewing the site. If not done properly, like what I've seen on this site so far (looking forward to trying the fix), images telegraph themselves as they pop in, making the user notice the lazy loading rather than the content on the page. I do see your point about bandwidth usage though. That's one of the reasons why I haven't moved my site to the cloud: the bandwidth usage costs more than all the other resources combined. For now, I stick to my dedicated server that doesn't charge for bandwidth usage while simultaneously providing1 point -

This is generally a good plugin, but it has some serious bugs when a user needs to accept the terms or privacy policy due to update and has not set a date of birth, they are locked out of the site users can still provide a "not telling" answer for the year, resulting in a lockout as they are unable to alter it to a year and it triggers the message "date of birth" privacy notice still appears on the edit profile field, even when the field is hidden to prevent alterations. if not set, one alteration should be permitted... the "Not Telling" option should be hidden in all are1 point -
Hi, any chance that the workflow when dealing with reports can be cleaned up on the next release. The main bugbear is when hiding posts in that the system takes you out of the report and to the hidden post when you've done it which serves no real purpose other than to add 2 more steps to go back into the report and mark it as complete.1 point

External Links Rich Embed [Support Topic]
David.. reacted to RevengeFNF for a topic
@A Zayed i know this is a long shot, but doesn't hurt to ask. In the past i used an addon called Media Tag, where we could create custom oembed links. In the mean time this addon was removed from the marketplace because it was not updated since ips 4.1, although it was partially still working. When i first installed your rich links addon, although your addon ignores the default oembed links by ips, it would cause the custom oembed links from the other addon to stop working, because it would show them as a rich link instead of the oembed. So i just disabled that media tag addon.1 point -

Someone mentioned Tapatalk. If it was anything like Tapatalk where I could opt out my community I wouldn't have a problem with it. I belong to a niche that questionable affiliation directly impacts the site's reputation. In other words, I wouldn't want to belong on a reddit type of system. We'd surely be trolled by other forums which oppose our existence on said system. And that brings me to another question. If such system was implemented and a central or passport like login across the system was had, and my niche or board's users were black listed by others in a "spam defense" would that eff1 point -

Good news, everyone: @Kevin Carwile will be taking over Advanced Tags & Prefixes going forward, including ongoing support and maintenance. Don't go too hard on him. I can't speak to what he has planned for the future, but if you've already purchased he should make sure you continue to be taken care of. Purchasing has also been reenabled, so if you've been waiting to buy it you can do that now. Thanks for all your support over the years. I'm out.1 point
