  1. You need to set required to false on the hidden element, then use the validation callback to validate it manually and conditionally - only when the YesNo is in the desired state. Take a look at an \IPS\Node\Model's form() method for any app you own, they all tend to use this.

  3. Hi everyone We are SEO professionals, and as many of you know, content is king The problem with communities is that many users create topics with 5 words and nobody replies to it so it generates thousands of "empty" pages >> this leads to a Google Panda penalty We have detected this problem on many (small or large) Invision Board communities but not only, also on Xenforo, PHPBB, Vbulletin communities, same problem The minimum count words for a quality page is at least 200 words of UNIQUE content (some would say 400) Hopefully there is one solution to this pr

  4. I have some students who make custom purchases of my services (basically because I haven't made corresponding Commerce products for them yet, or they choose to pay by bank transfer). However, when I create these custom invoices for services not purchased directly through the Store (but are nontheless products selected from the Product list), that income is not listed under the Member's Total/Average Monthly Spend in the Member's Customer View tab in the adminCP. Shouldn't this income be included since it's still a purchase of goods/services? Not sure if this is a bug or if it's somehow

  6. We can't use extensions on plugins, unfortunately. I mean, add extensions to the plugin. You can probably hook somewhere to make it work; never tried.

  7. Yeah, it really only needs the ID. For example: I stripped categories and the FURL part from this URL: https://invisioncommunity.com/news/-r1055/ Still works. Same with topics: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/447826-doesnt-matter

  9. Still working on it - mostly only source code improvements. So unfortunately nothing new to show yet but it's getting there 🙂

  10. You haven’t thought this through. How should the appearance of the background be the same if the pages have completely different heights?
    1 point
  11. I would argue it is not a problem. Those two pages only look slightly different, because the pages under the pop-up window have different length, so different things are revealed in the background. Why is that a problem? You are supposed to look at the form in the foreground and then hit save.

  12. @InsideEdge Yeah that might work. I just hate that this is so manual of a process. I just cannot believe that xenforo software and Vbulletin developers can make this we cannot get anyone to. I think I am jumping to another platform. I more than likely wont renew and now wish i never upgraded from 3.4 to 4.3. Pick em drove a lot of traffic and now this season before we kickoff traffic is down to a crawl. Actually the migration and theme design and purchase of their pick ems would cost less than what I offered to get someone to build it here so maybe it is a no brainer. Thanks for

Very nice and sweet little add-on works like expected. Club owners can send to all club members at once a personal message. Highly recommended to all forums with a heavy club usage. Thank you very much.

  13. Still not perfectly clear what you are doing, but have a look at this: https://www.opentype.space/superdocs/ips-community-tips/pages/multi-color-select-box-badges-with-pages-r16/ It explains how to deal with multiple values in the Pages custom display fields. For a different use, but the code might be helpful still.

  14. Commerce creates "Shipments" which of course, you could send as two separate packages if it was more sensible to do so. Practically how are you imagining Commerce would handle it differently?

  15. So the field type is checkbox? And what are the checkbox options exactly? You probably don’t want to make the options itself full HTML tags. Instead you just take the URL like “iataMeta.png” or just “iataMeta” and then construct the rest outside the $value in the custom output field. All HTML posted there will actually render as HTML.

  16. Google, amongst others, now have the ability (with varying degrees of accuracy) to analyse meaning and sentiment in text, And consequently I should imagine word count is rapidly being relegated to a minor consideratIon when ranking content. But in saying that I see the typical quick fire 1 to 5 word forum response as a real annoyance, both as reader and forum provider. So whether G or others mark you down for this or not, I’m looking at ways to reward more thoughtful input. Not saying of course that 50 words good, 5 words bad, but generally, on the forums I use, longer responses equal l

  17. I'm sorry, any time someone opens with this line my eyes have to roll. Anyone saying they are experts in SEO usually means they have security clearance to Area 51. So, what color are the Aliens? Do they have tenticles? Don't get me wrong, I'm not disputing anything you've said. I just find anyone claiming to be an "expert", about something that's quite subjective, to be rather amusing.

  19. Categories for invoices would be really handy, as being able to organise invoices by client, organisation, or [insert reason here] is a far superior and more professional approach than simply listing them as an amorphous mass. Searching functionality is good, yes, but being able to impose one's own intuitive sense of organisation to records as crucial as invoices would be a benefit.

  20. This has probably been asked before, but can we please have the content reported actually appear in the report? Right now, if a user reports a gallery image, it's shown just as a link to the gallery image underneath the report title. I've have to ask what was the point of not actually including the reported content in the report itself, and just having a link available to it? This extends the amount of time it takes to get through reported content, because the content reported has to be opened from the report, action taken, then the moderator has to go back to the report to mark it as complete
