    Gallery Embed

    Is there a gallery embed button for the editor for the IPS gallery? I know a competitor's script has that ability for their provided gallery add-on to add an embed button directly to the editor toolbar. When you click on the Embed option, this shows up (on the script I'm using as an example) Simple, clean and easy for the end user to use. If these are all supposed to be smooth flowing applications that are bundled to work together, why is something as simple as this not there? As an aside, you have a gallery - now, why not have it set (by ACP settings) to create user albums in addition to the current setup? As it is now, they all get thrown together and the users have to figure out how to create their own albums - it would be much nicer if the gallery had the ability to create an individual user album that you could then allow them to create additional albums under it. The current implementation is a simplistic one that is far exceeded by several other galleries on the market (standalone and add-on for other scripts). It's rather disappointing how simplistic some of the features of these modules (read add-on options) are, especially if you consider that they were allegedly designed for stand alone use in addition to being used with the other ones. Again, from the same script (and yes, several will know what one that is - but when something is done well, you use it as an example). As you can see, there are categories - and then albums. It's not so jumbled and everything pretty much tossed together as with IPS's gallery add-on. As it is now (from what I can tell) the default IPS gallery only uses categories that you can then have albums under - but also they (the users) can dump photos into the category without making albums. You then end up with a jumbled mess like this if you create an area titled (Members Albums) if the end users do not create their own album.

  8. The conf_global.php is in your forum root directory. It will look similar to this <?php $INFO = array ( 'sql_host' => 'localhost', 'sql_database' => '410b2', 'sql_user' => 'root user name', 'sql_pass' => 'your password', 'sql_port' => 3306, 'sql_socket' => '', 'sql_tbl_prefix' => '', 'sql_utf8mb4' => true, 'board_start' => 1444414185, 'installed' => true, 'base_url' => 'http://localhost/410b2/', 'guest_group' => 2, 'member_group' => 3, 'admin_group' => 4, ); sql_host - Needs to point to the exact location where the database is stored. sql_database - Needs to point to your database base_url - Needs to point to your URL. Your conf_global.php may also appear to be of the previous versions but this is OK as long as the above is all your correct information

    Advanced Tags & Prefixes

    I'll just say this because it hit a vein while I was developing an addon. I have no connection to Ryan other than being another purchaser of his addon. You're upset that your $17 (?) investment in an addon that you're using for IPS3 didn't also include more which unquestionably included "a lot of effort?" While I'd like to, I rarely share my own addons solely because of the grief I know I will receive by comments like this. I sincerely hope you consider that paying the meager amount you have for a plugin that adds a very necessary and omitted part of IPS3 is really a bargain, even though others may have been able to use it for an even longer period.. Discounted price... would a $2.17 difference make or break the classification of "worth it" from "slap in the face?" I mention this because it's difficult enough to find good developers here. The last thing they need is to know that the hours, days and weeks spent developing which site owners don't see aren't appreciated. And Ryan has been great with support. I can't say that for several of the $40+ addons I purchased here that never worked half as well. We need to let developers know that making the effort will be worth it. Anyway, that's my thought. Hope you consider chipping in for the next effort and agree that it's an amazing value for the return.

  10. I meant the underlying logic rather than display. :)

  11. Should't be... as there is a 1/2 star in the FA font library - so if their answer is yes, then it is incorrect. It is in the code itself that they use apparently if that is what you are seeing it rounds UP to the next nearest number (which I agree is stupid and is not well programmed if so).

  12. If you go into the settings shown above it doesn't put the link in a code box, AndyF was just using that as an example, it will show like it does in the screenshot in your second post, no need for the plugin, go try it

  13. Correct, this already exists in ACP -> Sytem -> Posting -> URLs if you want to blacklist or whitelist URLs

  14. I think what the OP is looking for is something that stops them parsing, regardless of how they were entered, be that via an editor button, typed directly or pasted in. So that for instance https://www.google.com becomes https://www.google.com In other words, you have to select the text to open it, its not directly accessible via a click.

  15. Don't use the "big Install" button. Scroll down on the page and you get a list of "Applications not currently installed". Choose the app and klick on the "+ button" on the right side.

  17. You can download those from the Client Area by clicking Purchases on the left, then clicking the name of your Suite license on the right. Next page, click the "Download IPS Community Suite" button. Choose the version you're using. If v4, you download an entire set of files in one go, then upload them all to the forum and install via the ACP -> System tab -> Applications page. If v3.4.8, choose the individual products you need, then download them and upload the same way, then install via ACP -> Manage Applications & Modules.

  18. edit: Ok, I've found and enabled "Only send one email notification for content I follow until I revisit the community" > https://community.invisionpower.com/notifications/options/ I think with this is ok (I don't know why isn't enabled by default - anyway, is best to enable)

  21. Hello @MRniceGUY1990 In the 4.0 product line rectangle profile photos are no longer supported as it is detrimental to the skin. You can make the images larger but they will still be square. On my site located here: http://distant-fantasies.net I have circle images with square avatars in the forum. To make up to my members about the lack of rectangle images I provided the space in a different manner. I went from 200x300 avatars to 250x250 avatar photos and that seemed to be the best solution for this.

  22. By the way: You can easily force plain text in 4.0. applications → core → interface → ckeditor → ckeditor → config.js Add this line: CKEDITOR.config.forcePasteAsPlainText = true;
