I created a Tag called 'Sonic News', but its url slug has been modified to read just '/news/' rather than '/sonic-news/' for ease of navigation.

A button leading directly to that Tag page has been placed on my main navigation bar, but whenever I navigate to that page, the menu item doesn't have 'data-active' applied to it, so it looks like it is not highlighted as the current page.

Other tag pages do get highlighted, as you can see below, so I wonder if it is a quirk with a tag that has a custom URL slug applied to it.

I can't reproduce this.

When you created the menu item, did you use the Tag item, or an external link?

That... is a very good point 😅 That particular menu item is in fact an external link item (the 'real' one is hidden to only show when the side panel design is used, as I wanted the menu design to look differently there). This could technically be considered not a bug, then? Although, would it be feasible to set external-linked menu items with 'data-active' if the url used is the same domain/site as the installation? Or is that not possible?

If its an external link, it wouldn't set a data-active link as per design at present. Feel free to post up within the feedback area if you have suggestions of course.
