Many users are complaining about redirect loops when accessing my site on IC 5.0.2. They report that when they manage to enter the site and navigate to a topic, they are redirected back to the homepage after a short while. Some users experience a full redirect loop, resulting in an error that completely prevents them from accessing the site.

This issue primarily affects some iPhone users. Is this a known problem?

Even accessing the homepage immediately results in a redirect loop. This only happens to iPhone users (latest version of Safari and iPhone). They can't access the homepage, and if they manage to do so after several attempts, as soon as they enter any topic, they are redirected back to the homepage. Android users have not reported any issues.

I would need specific examples if you want me to take a look, as I cant replicate this for you on your site using my iphone

Also please do the following when testing

  • Disable all 3rd party items

  • Ensure you are using only a default htaccess file

  • Use a default theme

  • Use a default language pack

I have just performed more tests according to the above recommendations. I disabled all third-party applications and set the default theme for this user. I am still getting redirect loops. The exact device version is iPhone 11 Pro, using Safari 17.1.1. I also set the language to default.

You can check on my production site; the usernames are ARK and Av3rneS. I am using Nginx, but all users except those on iPhone have no issues, so I am ruling out server-related problems, especially since there are no errors in the console.

I would really appreciate your help, as I am aware that some users are unable to access the forum.
