Could you please provide an example? I've not seen any other reports of this, and of course most (if not all) will have email validation on.

Thanks @Marc It's hard to provide an example other than a copy of the email sent.

It seems that he clicked the validation link but then received the message that he needed to validate his email address to view the board via the link.

If another validation link was issued, would that mean he would have to click on that newer one, and the original/older one would be invalid? I'm just trying to rule out any issue.

I think I'll try and create a test user from another IP and email and see if I can replicate it.

I actually validated that member via admin in the end.

So to test it, I used a different IP and email address, registered and received the validation email. It then gave me the member validated via email confirmation within members in admin. So it seems to work ok.

But, on both the screen pictured and on clicking the email and getting the Awaiting Approval screen, it goes into a loading loop and loads the page over and over, so the footer is flashing. This was on both edge on desktop and Safari on iPhone. Clicking continue as guest loads the homescreen fine again.

Im not able to replicate this unfortunately. If you disable all 3rd party items, and use a default theme and language pack, as you seeing the same issue?

Sorry for the delay @Marc Yes, I removed a Member defaults item and tried again. While it seems fine with validation mails getting through, a reload thing is still going on. It seems to flash until you click continue as guest (while in admin validation). The other links don't work when clicking anything else on the page. I'll PM a video.

It's fine, people can still register, but want to make sure it isn't something connected to V5.

On your video, you are clicking to refresh the screen by the look of it, so I would expect it would indeed stay on that validation screen.

Hi @Marc No am not refreshing it, that is doing it on its own, that's the issue I had with it.

Check you have no redirects set in an htaccess or similar on your server there. Im not seeing any issues in that area on a stock installation unfortunately.
