  • Status: Not a bug

So I've seen this strange thing happen on a couple of Invision Community sites, where I've used a password app (1Password, in this specific case) to automatically fill in sign-in details to log in quickly, but instead of logging in the suite directs me to an attempted signup/login via Facebook.

It tends to happen when a community site allows for login/signup of account via external platforms (like Facebook or X), my experience has only been with Facebook so far but it's worth testing this bug with Facebook login off and another platform (X for example) on to see if it does a similar redirect.

^ This is what I see when I try to use the app to sign in, I click the "existing user? sign in" link, click the username field and select my email address from the 1Password dropdown that appears underneath it. It then automatically fills in the user and password fields, and automatically (should) click "Sign In" at the bottom there.

^ Instead I see this error appear. Not sure why this is happening (the "Sign In" orange button is within the same container as the user/pass fields so I doubt it is an issue where the 1Password extension thinks the social sign in buttons are the next 'canonical' buttons to press...), but wanted to flag it as it's quite annoying.

Using Google Chrome Version 137.0.7151.120 (Official Build) (arm64) on macOS 15.5.

This would indicate that 1password is clicking he wrong button there. I'm not sure that would be something to report to ourselves, but more report to 1password.

Thanks Marc - I reached out to 1Password and they confirmed it was an issue with their software, they're working on a fix for this. Thanks for the feedback.
