Cannot add a code block by selecting multiple lines

I selected 3 lines in the editor to convert them into a code box, but the Block Style dropdown became disabled after selecting a second row.

I had to select only the first line, convert it to a code box, and then copy/paste the other 2 lines into it.

It's an unnecessary and (extremely) annoying process.
