Following initial upgrade to 5.0.0 I have found the footer is rendering down the right side of the page, instead of - well - in the footer! 😂

I previously had a demo, which was fine, so it is just the live site experiencing this. I can't see any settings to fix it.

Happening in Safari and Chrome - on both desktop and mobile. Cache has been cleared and it is still occurring.

Hi @James Hargreaves

When I visit that URL, I see your version 4 installation. Is your version 5 install hosted in a different directory or subdomain?

One thing I've noticed is a <meta> tag inside your guest welcome message. This will break certain areas on both version 4 and version 5. <meta> tags should only exist in the <head> at the top of the page. They shouldn't be included in the body.

On version 4, it's causing every list item (including widgets) to be appended with a black dot:

On version 5, the issue is clearly more noticeable (with a footer on the side), but the issue potentially stems from the same guest message.

Thanks @Ehren .

No, I am on V5 - upgraded on Cloud this morning.

I'll look into the meta issue - thanks. In the meantime I have removed the guest widget, but the footer problem persists.

I think I have narrowed this down to widgets.

Adding any widgets where I have changed the default text, or adding a custom block, seems to be breaking the theme template.

Fixed. A custom block with an extra </div> tag was the culprit. 👍
