Genestoy started following Incompatible app?
-
I just updated my test forum and my live forum to 4.7.16. The test forum shows no compatibility problems at all but on my live forum it shows one app has a compatibility problem with PHP 8.1 which I am running. both forums are identical so kind of confusing. The app in question is working fine on both forums, so the question is...what happens if I click the "Fix It" button? Thanks

Gallery, only a portion of the image
arrowman replied to arrowman's topic in Classic self-hosted technical help
Sorry, I didn't mean to duplicate the post. -
Hi, In the Gallery section, when viewing some images, they are not shown in full, that is, only a portion of them is seen as if they had not finished being downloaded to be displayed. This usually occurs on tablets and mobile phones. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Sorry, I didn't mean to duplicate the post.

Ryan Ashbrook started following Upgrade issues from 4.6.12.1 to 4.7.14 with "ini_set" errors

This would definitely be something server side and / or associated with other software on the server for a few reasons. While we do use a custom session handler, we use the proper session_set_save_handler and related functions, rather than ini_set. The only usage of ini_set throughout the software is during an automatic Admin CP upgrade to disable errors, which is a fairly typical use case - and if it fails, the error is suppressed and ignored. This is the case for both 4.16.12.1 as well as the current version. Based on the error itself, it looks like there may be a configuration issue somewhere in php.ini, or in a .htaccess file that is present on the server, attempting to set that directive (which is incorrect in itself - the directive is session.save_handler instead, though that could be as simple as the server interpreting the dot as an underscore in the error).
-
Sorry for the late reply - life and things get in the way! My hosting provider have said they are getting the following errors, however to be honest I don't understand them, can anyone shed some light on this situation? ERROR: Unable to set php_value 'session_save_handler' [Jan 12 10:36:38] 2024-01-12 10:36:38 0 [Warning] InnoDB: Total InnoDB FTS size 9041601 for the table `domain_name`. `ibf_core_search_index` exceeds the innodb_ft_cache_size 8000000 The new server meets all the requiremnts for the upgrade, thanks.

CloudFlare Pro has managed firewall rules and improved bot filtering. You would need to review it. I'm afraid, it is outside our scope of support so you would need to contact CloudFlare if you have any questions.
-
That would be dependent on your server capabilities. If you are unsure, you will want to have your hosting provider or server administrator run that query via the command line.
-
Alright, so you mentioned CF so I disabled that and low and behold it worked again. Re-enabled and after a short while, it broke again. That lead me to think it was a corrupt cache but purging the entire cache did not resolve it. The one primary difference is this one site is on a CF Pro account and the others are not. So now it's matter of what on CF changed with Pro accounts recently that influences this.

Clubs Stopped Working On Last Update

A blank page is the sign of a suppressed PHP error, you will want to obtain the logs from your server error log for further details on what the issue is. -
Application Uninstall Fails - How to remove manually?
Jim M replied to tforums's topic in Technical Problems
You would want to contact the author of the application for any support. -
We are trying to remove the Classifieds 2.1.1 Application that is disabled since the Marketplace shut down. Unfortunately, the Uninstall option goes to a blank page and nothing is removed. Is there a process to remove Apps manually?

Clubs Stopped Working On Last Update
tforums replied to tforums's topic in Classic self-hosted technical help
I am seeing this Alert. Everything else is running fine. Running manually tells me it is already running already and cannot be run again until the lock is removed. -
The separate Clubs pages are all blank now since the last update. Caches have been cleared and no errors showing in admin console. Is there a fix for this?
-
Hi @Marc Stridgen Indeed there is a small fix awaiting. Apologies - I did not for those. However, when I run the fix, I receive the following message: We have 3.5m posts - is it OK to proceed?

In case you do not find the plugin, you can purchase this one https://www.ic-essentials.com/files/file/25-advanced-footer/ This is and will be supported. The one from @TDBF likely no. 😞 -

@TDBF do you have the latest version of this? Or 1.0.8 that you are able to send me 🙏 (looks like your personnel messenger is disabled here so I am unable to PM you) Or if anyone else has the files, it would be great, many thanks! -
The software is getting an unexpected response from your server so is showing the .htaccess information as it is acting like it isn't present. The items mentioned were just suggestions, there may be something else entirely and it will take someone familiar with your hosting setup to fully look into that. Do you use CloudFlare or another firewall product? Is it stopping this from running functionally? Is there a rouge Apache setting only for this site? Tons of things to investigate.
