Hello,

I manage two separately licensed IPS installations:

-First license (updated to v5.0.9 successfully)

-Second license (currently running v4.7.22)

In the client area for the first license, the “Download Invision Community 5” button appeared as expected, and the upgrade was completed without issues.

However, for the second license, I don’t see the option to download v5, even though the installation passes all system checks.

My question is:

Can I reuse the upgrade package from the first license for the second installation, or is each license tied to its own unique build?

Additionally, I attempted to switch the PHP version on the second server from 8.1 to 8.4 (same as the first), before performing the upgrade — but after the switch, I was unable to access either the AdminCP or the front end (a blank or error screen appeared). I’ve since reverted to PHP 8.1, and everything works again.

It might have been a caching or sync issue, but I’d prefer to upgrade first, then adjust the PHP version later, as that sequence worked perfectly on the first domain.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

You need to upgrade your second license to the Classic license terms in order to receive version 5.

No. Each license controls what you can run on it.
