Posted June 19Jun 19 Please could the custom emoticons (traditional gifs etc) be moved from the bottom of the Emojis to their own tab on the bar at the top:I have a large amount of custom emoticons built up over 20+ years, so it would save my members a lot of repetitive scrolling (and complaining) to get past the modern emoji whenever they want to browse for an emoticon. Many thanks! June 23Jun 23 Author Hopefully its a quick fix for the devs to be able to improve this. The tab functionality is already present. 🤔"... sometimes the smaller improvements which improve your time on the community can have a bigger impact" -- @Matt Couldn't agree more! 🙂 Edited June 23Jun 23 by The Old Man
June 29Jun 29 I would LOVE❤️ to delete💀 a whole bunch of 💀💀💀emoticons that I do not like💩. Probably the whole lot as is.I wrote the above as gently👻 as possible, but my feelings towards the absolute boatload of non-usable emoticons currently present and not being able to be deleted (like it was before) are anything but nice. 😅They are a true thorn in my eye. 😠 Please at the very least, let us put our own on top.😘
July 1Jul 1 Author Maybe they could add a hide/show toggle to each of the emoji groups but I doubt it will happen. Having to scrolll the mouse wheel 28 times just to get to the first batch of your custom emoticons is ridiculous, I still ask why not simply move them to their own tab like they did for the FA icons, surely the same justification applies.

You need to go to AdminCP > Posting & Editor > Editor Permissions and disable the native emojis

Thanks @Matt Finger !One question; I have set this option to 'Never' and yet the skin color dropdown still appears when browsing emoji on the front end:The skin color toggle would only be relevant for native/Unicode emojis, right? If these are disabled in AdminCP, wouldn't these be redundant? Is it worth removing this dropdown if the Native Emoji option is toggled off? What do you think?
July 2Jul 2 I retrackt hereby my earlier post, which I cannot edit? But my apologies, it's a litlle bit a pity it's an all or nothing solution. 🤒
