Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted June 4Jun 4 I'm trying to send a multi-message to 3 members which I have recently communicated with. But get "@xxxx cannot receive messages" where @xxxx is always the first in the recipient list.
June 4Jun 4 Community Expert You will want to check that your group is able to send out messages to 3 individuals. You will also need to check that all users inbox is not full, that they don't have the messenger disabled, or their group is allowed to received/send messages.

Guess that is in percentage. I communicated with them individually yesterday so I guess the problem is that I try to send a multi-message.
June 4Jun 4 Community Expert Please place the display names of all parties involved here in the access details area of the Client Area and I can take a further look here.
June 4Jun 4 Community Expert Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this issue. I was able to send to these 3 from the conversation starter just fine. Please ensure that when you are selecting the members to send to that you select their names from the dropdown. Simply inputting their names will cause it not to resolve.
June 4Jun 4 Author Thanks. Thats strange, all where selected from the dropdown. And if I select in a different order, the first always comes up as "cannot receive messages."
June 4Jun 4 Community Expert There should be no @ . Just type the user's display name in and in the drop down they should appear then click their name
June 4Jun 4 Community Expert The error should be tweaked a bit IMO. Rather than saying the member "cannot receive messages" it should say the member "doesn't exist". 🤔
