I updated the site and this error occurs. What should I do? There is no problem with the ap

When I activate and close design mode, it fixes itself and starts again.

Error when I give myself a default theme from the admin panel

When I deactivated my netgsm application, the theme change error went away, but my site is still missing. The 500 error continues.

This comes from a third party app by the look of it.

Yes, when I closed that app, the 500 error continued.

Sorry, do you mean you disabled the application? If so, what is the 500 error message you're getting now? If it's the same error, the application is still enabled.

Thanks for answers. This problem has been solved but there is currently a problem like this. Everyone on the forum, except for the administrator permission, gives this error when they send a message. When I make the person an administrator, they can send messages. This started after the update. I looked at the forum permissions and the user's permissions and there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Do you have any thoughts on this situation? Thanks

If you've have restored the default theme per the instructions there and still getting an error, you'll want to go to ACP -> Support -> System Log to see the underlying error.

This error occurs even though all write and read permissions on the files are 777. Is there something I need to do from the admin panel?

You will want to contact your hosting provider if you're having any issues with writing to your server.

It is hosted on my own server. There was no problem until I ran the previous update.

Unfortunately, previously you were running with cached data and now, due to the upgrade, it exposed the writing error trying to rebuild that cached data/templates/CSS/JS.
