Back in v4 I asked you to add a donate now link, you did, thank you.

For me, I see this on desktop and mobile.

A user posted their view, and they see this.

They don't have the Donate Now button.

Any idea why different users see different options? As you can see, a few people have made donations.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, but I was told they couldn't reproduce it.

Where is this setting? Again, it's not for a purchase, it's the built in IPS Donatins Block.

They would still need a payment method available to them to make a payment. It would be in ACP -> Commerce -> Payments -> Settings -> Payment Methods.

Yes, both PayPal and Stripe.

Are you restricting countries on those? Is that user in that country?

Try again in a little while. It was showing for me, then it wasn't, now it is.

My ID is 1.

The other user is 2.

This seems to happen when a third party block is showing with it:

Thanks, I'll investigate.

OK, so I turned that app off, but it's still an intermittent issue.

Here's what I see now:

The app author spent a long time trying to determine if it was related, and determined it's not.

I think this proves it.

Any additional suggestions?

I would recommend disabling all third party applications and switching to an unmodified theme because, unfortunately, I am only seeing this on your community.

OK, this is making me a little nuts.

I just turned off all apps and went to the IPS default theme.

I turned them on one at a time and refreshed the page 10 times after turning each one on.

The Donate Now button shows up, but I know it will go away at some random point.

Any other tips for getting this to work? I know having it display is new for 5.x.

Unfortunately, the evidence is pointing towards an issue with something on your community as when you disable third party applications/themes it works fine. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this myself on my test community so only way would be to wait for it to disappear again with all items disabled thus disproving this information here. If that doesn't happen though, you'd have to enable them one-by-one to see which is the culprit.

I'll wait until it goes away again, as I have everything turned on. Then I'll turn things on one at a time for a few days and see what happens.

All apps turned off for 3 hours.

All members switched to the IPS theme.

The one non-IPS theme I had running is now set to off.

As I mentioned, I know this Donate Now button is new, could that be part of it?

Even with everything turned off, it's not showing.

I refreshed a bunch of times, it came back.

I officially give up.

I am convinced this is part of the core, especially since it's relatively new.

I turned everything back on and will not pursue this matter further.

I have tagged developesr on this earlier today to see if there are any further thoughts, or if anything can be seen in code

Do you use any custom CSS? There may be a code that conflicts with the block, which leads to hiding the button

If you follow along, you'll see I turned off everything, used the IPS default theme, and no, I have no custom CSS.

Even then, it comes and goes.

Like I said, I gave up. I turned my apps back on and switched back to my theme.

I have exactly the same problem, and I’ve tried everything, but the issue keeps happening. Sometimes it disappears. I’m using version 5.0.7.
