Just curious how to implement this. On both my communities, if I try to add the newsletter signup widget block, it never gets displayed. I'm not sure what I am missing.

I want to start sending out newsletters, which I assume should be done using the Bulk Mail feature. Is this correct and is it pretty efficient?

You need to unsubscribe from the newsletter to see it. ;-)

Ah, that makes sense.

I was hoping either anybody could sign up for the newsletter, and not just registered members, OR the block would show to registered members, who would then be prompted to register.

But, it should be easy enough for me to do that with a Custom Block.

It’s not just for registered members. When shown to guests, the widget will direct the user to the sign-up form with the newsletter pre-checked.
That’s all the widget could ever do.

Interesting. I'll have to go look at it again because I swear the widget was not showing up when I looked at my site as a guest in incognito mode.
