Fiddeling around with the Cloud V5, i wonder how to translate from english into another language?

There are translation tools on board, but with more than a few phrases to translate it's more work than necessary.

Up to V4 i could download an XML, translate it and upload it back again. With V5 i can download an html with around 4600 lines, while phrases translated with the translation tool in V5 are not to find in that file.

Didn't find anything for that in the documentation part - so what's the idea behind that and how should we solve it?

Best regards as always
Peter

Translation is something that should be done from the admin CP at present

With some effort it would be pizzacake to translate it in any language using AI, so what‘s the problem?

Anything broken or not ready yet?

Sorry, Im not sure what you are asking exactly. Its neither broken, nor not ready. It can be done only from the admin CP

What he means there is no way to download a fresh xml file with all clean languagekeys in it . the way it is now . you can only translate through admin and when you export its only export the keys you have translated .

i can agree there should be a way just have a clean xml file to translate with ai or text editor , translate true admin is painful waste of time bc there is more then 700 pages a'25 keys per page . i have already done this huge task and i assure is not doing in a day or 2 , take weeks , so to have a xml file with all keys would help indeed

Just my two cent 🤓

But is not only about translate , i still translate depends where the keys is shown . grammatical etc . but its esier going back s´change here and there and i still do with my language ((Swedish)) , and is not only to translate . you need to make new language in ACP , and when import code must be right for the new language you have make

Example: etc etc
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<language name="Swedish" rtl="0" author_name="Chris59" author_url="yoursite" version="IPS 5.0.7 Final - Revision 1" long_version="5010507" update_check="">
<app key="core" version="5000080">

Sorry, Im not following there. The question was if you can translate outside of the software rather than using the admin CP

More a request of something old, isn't it? ;)

There is still an upload to the language requiring an .xml In V4 you could download it and now you can only download an .html file, while the .xml is nowhere specified.

The system will generate and xml file for you to download in version 5, just like version 4. Nothing has changed there. If you're getting a different file format, we will need to investigate that as that is a bug.

To make a long story short , here is the file you need to translate , this is a complete self-hosted language file with all apps 5.0.7 , remove the apps you don't need :), complete suite more then 17000+ lines to translate

5.0.7 Lang-Template.xml
