Posted May 2May 2 The forum...invision for some reason is not sending the verification emails. I have gone through the parts where it confirms to send the emails, but they are still not sending. I am having to approve all manually. Can someone please help me with this fix.
May 2May 2 Hi @red power magazine,Can you please confirm you have enabled email validation and not administrator validation or email and administrator validation? You can find it in your AdminCP → System → Settings → Login & Registration → All New Accounts → Validation method for new accountsI would also suggest checking your emails details are correct (you can also send yourself a test email for verification).AdminCP → System → Settings → Email Settings Edited May 2May 2 by Gary
May 2May 2 Community Expert Check in your email error log to see if you have any errors there. If not, you need to contact your email host to see what is happening with the emails, as once these are sent through your email setup, we have no further visibility of what happens to your mail at that point.
May 24May 24 I appear to have a similar issue. New registrations are not being sent to me to validate. However, upon testing the email settings, I get one to say all is well?
May 25May 25 Community Expert You may wish to check your notification settings to ensure you opted in to these emails in ACP -> Notification Bell (top right) -> Notification Settings. If you're still not getting emails, you will want to check the error log mentioned earlier in this topic. If there are no errors there, please let us know if you're using our email service on your Cloud package there. If you are not, you will want to contact your email provider to verify the emails are sending and check why you are not receiving them.
June 18Jun 18 I'm having the same issue. There are no errors in the error log, when I send a test email to myself it arrives, and if someone sends me a private message on my forum I get an email notification, but new registration emails are not being sent out to new sign-ups so they can't confirm their email addresses.Did either of you other guys with this issue get it resolved? My settings are correct, but I can't see why other emails are being sent, but not the new registration ones.
June 18Jun 18 Community Expert The issues there were related to the clients email setup, so not a bug as such. Have you checked with your email provider on this to check email logs?
June 19Jun 19 I will check with my provider asap. Thanks.BTW, this is the only place that I've mentioned this issue, and last night I received an email that said this: -The sender's name was given as Roundcube Webmail, but the actual email address is Brieden @ cruzpc.net. That website is owned by a pair of injury lawyers. The link they want me to visit is: -flowto.it/exS9ahbphR?fc=0# (with my email address added on the end)That link redirects to a fake login form here: -cspeiine.cfd/roundcube/webmail.htmlData entered in there is sent to a Telegram bot.Anyway, just a heads up, cos whoever did this must be browsing this forum looking for potential targets, cos like I said, I have literally only mentioned my email issue here.
