The theme was all ok, no one touched it, and out of nowhere the theme broke.

If you're using template caching in ACP -> System -> Advanced Configuration, you will want to try and clear the directory of it's cached files or disable it to see if that helps.

MySQL is not a setting for Template Cache. It is separate from Data Storage

Additionally, if the clearing of the cache won't help, can you temporarily disable all third party stuff and see if it will help? If the error will go away you can enable them one at a time till you identify the culprit.

If you did, as advised above try to switch to the default theme and use the default unmodified language as well and see if the error will still occur or go away.

As a rule of thumb errors like this don't just happen out of nowhere. Something somewhere triggers them. What about any other changes to the forum prior to this happening?
