Dear Support,

I'm facing a problem with the unread posts, I've created a stream to show unread posts only, but even if I read them they appear on the stream as unread. I've disabled CloudFlare, Opcache, flushed redis, restarted nginx but the posts remains as unread.

Funny is that if the title is bold (unread), once I read them the bold is gone.

Are you seeing any errors in ACP -> Support -> System Log?

No, there's no elasticsearch errors on the systemlog. The error seems to be related to elasticsearch since yesterday I've upgraded to 8.17 and this is when the users reported that unread post is not working.

Switching to mysql solved the problem. Elasticsearch seems to be the problem marking the read posts.

Moving back to MySQL is not a solution (for me) - large full text indexes and slower search times.

Is this being tracked as a bug or fix in flight? Let me know if you need more info!

There is no open bug report for his at present, no. In fact we use these items ourselves. Please check out the following post and check to see if this may be what is causing issues on your setup
