Hello,

i own quite a large community existing 25 years now with over 70.000 members and over 5.6 million posts and gigs of attachments,
In all this years, an incredible amount of knowledge was acumulated especially in the tech part of my community and i'm searching for a way to make this knowledge accessible.

Topics are reaching hundreds of pages discussing certain topics, information is buried there.

I was thinking about training an AI with all my community data.

What do you guys think about this?

If Invision could provide such a feature, this would be hugen

Best,

Mike

It would be awesome if IPB built a feature for this.

Basically a way for us to plug in our OpenAI API details and then provide functionality to push all posts / threads into the LLM via some sort of RAG pipeline etc.

Then having a chat window feature available for logged in users who can ask questions like:

"Show me a list of the top conversations around Cybersecurity insurance"

And the AI would then give them a plain english / easy to read answer rather than old school search.

That would be absolutely the next big thing for Internet Communities!

I won't tell anybody 😁

Great News!

I'm not sure that Invision sees the potential here. Or the risk (of not being able to do this, if competitors can).

AI is moving at warp speed (warp factor 9). Heads-up!

It would be a good way of monetizing as well, if whatever comes out of this works with the normal usergroups' permissions system.

Hey Gemini, please make invision community do smart AI type stuff and ensure you make it much much cleverer than that pesky xenforo thing.

Should do it I reckon? I'll send the invoice later.
