Posted March 11Mar 11 I moved my files on 4.7.20 to Backblaze in preparation for the upcoming "just one storage location" rule. Seems to work fine for CSS/images and so on but NOT for the Downloads app. All file download requests end up with:{ "code": "unauthorized", "message": "b2ContentDisposition is prohibited for unauthenticated requests", "status": 401 }The browser URL looks like this:https://f003.backblazeb2.com/file/[bucketname]/monthly_2025_02/musterblaetter_zip.c06ba9ff7d05c1738a669f55f55d181c?b2ContentDisposition=attachment%3B+filename%3D%22musterblaetter.zip%22&b2Expires=Tue%2C+11+Mar+2025+13%3A37%3A10+GMT&b2ContentType=application%2Fzip
March 11Mar 11 Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.
May 30May 30 Author Not sure why this isn’t getting more attention even after almost 3 months. Backblaze support was officially added, but the reported bugs aren’t addressed, not even simple stuff like adding the missing help links. At the moment I have to pay for both Amazon S3 and Backblaze, because I moved to Backblaze, but since the downloads aren’t working, I have to keep uploading just Download files to Amazon, even though consolidation of the storage locations was the entire point of touching anything about storage.
June 6Jun 6 can we get an eta or a hot patch fix for the - I have users not being able to share files.
June 10Jun 10 There is no ETA at present for this issue, however I will bring it up internally to see where we are at
Wednesday at 04:34 PM3 days There is a fix coming soon. However, unfortunately, we are also moving towards a deprecation of Backblaze as a supported file storage. I am sorry that I do not have better news for you on that front.
Wednesday at 04:44 PM3 days Support for Backblaze was added only recently with 4.7.20, and it's already being dropped? 🙄
Thursday at 02:32 PM2 days Management Yes, unfortunately our experience with Backblaze was not great, so we have deprecated that feature and recommend those using it consider an alternative.
Thursday at 11:29 PM1 day WHAT why are you deprecating that I have to use that all my content is there - and it's much cheaper! Please don't deprecate this! I really don't want to consider an alternative - I have many other servers backup to my account, I don't want to have to have yet another service and bill. It is a standard S3 compatible service why can't you dial this in? Edited Thursday at 11:30 PM1 day by Ocean West
