Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted February 11Feb 11 Can anyone assist please? I can't get my banner ads displaying in V5 at all. Happy to pay an expert for guidance or if there's a guide somewhere, a link would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

February 11Feb 11 Author Thanks for the reply Daniel. They worked in V4 fine and when upgrading they're all gone. I've reinstalled the code and still nothing. I'm getting a 'Googletag is not defined' error in the console.Might be good to start again from scratch. I'd like them to be reponsive too as we have a lot of mobile traffic. https://forums.thelotusforums.com/
February 11Feb 11 I've just disabled "DFP Banners Header" and added in some text just to show "IPS TEST" on your site on the main banner, and the ad locations are working. So unfortunately, its your ads themselves. You would need to contact your ad provider on that to see why they are not working.
February 11Feb 11 Author That's a great help, thanks @Marc . I'll start afresh with the ad units in GAM.
February 11Feb 11 Author Sorry to take up your time but do these get pasted into the Google Tag Manager intergration or into the Advertisments?
February 12Feb 12 Author I've pasted the header into the 'Advertisment' and body into the Page Output under Advanced Configuration and still no ads showing. Edited February 12Feb 12 by abetts
February 12Feb 12 The "Header" part I would add to somewhere like tag manager in integrations, then add the body part in where you ad is to be located in the ads section. We are actually adding a proper hook location for the head section at some point too. Its on our list here
February 12Feb 12 Sorry, try the google analytics one instead. As mentioned, this is something we are adding
February 12Feb 12 Author To be fair, I've sacked off GAM and am using the native advertisments settings and it works really well (apart from the impressions being hugely optimistic!). Thanks @Marc 👍
