If I'm viewing a topic and select "Star New Topic", it does not bring up the topic pop-up prompt and takes me directly to the current forum topic form. This may be by design, but it leaves top level widgets blocking it on top, which makes the topic form not visible.

I've moved this to Feedback as this is working as intended for the create topic to not be in a popup. You just have a block on top of your Forums view so that is why you're seeing that.

I realize I have several blocks on top of the feed, but I might have to remove them because users will get confused when they don't see a topic form to fill in. Thanks for responding...

I guess we display the same widgets across the topic list and the Start New Topic page. Splitting them into their own widget pages (or even removing widgets entirely from the New Topic page) might be better here.
