I want to integrate Invision Community with Wild Apricot.

Suppose I created a working platform now. What will happen when I upgrade to VER. 5?

Can I be assured that everything will play nice with the presently installed Versions of Wild Apricot and Zapier.

In other words, I have a hard time believing that there would never be any issues when upgrading Invision or Wild Apricot. How could Zapier assure there are no conflicts between two constantly changing third party programs. Wouldn't Zapier ever have to correct for any changes?

They should be fine, but the honest answer is that its a major new release, and you should always test any integrations you have done with the new release

The advantage of the REST & GraphQL API (and Make, Zapier & co) is that even if our underlaying code changes, just like in the transition from IPS4 to IC5, the API doesn't need to change

This also means contrary to IPS4 plugins and IPS4 applications, most of your REST API consumers should work fine, in fact I can tell that ALL my Zaps for my site just continued working fine after my upgrade from IPS4 to IC5 Beta 12.
