It’s much better cleaner with less information, just a member photo icon and time especially on the board index is a better lookThere are different views available in version 5, just like in 4. This is just one. You can configure your community to use another if you choose.
January 20Jan 20 For those looking at making a change to your page layout, click your username (assuming you’re an administrator in your community) → Theme Editor → Page Layouts → Forum Index → select your preferred theme between Table, Grid, Fluid and Feed.Feed is the theme currently selected for Invision Community.Table is what most people may be used to. January 21Jan 21 Love so far…. Any update on when it’s available for us? I’m a cloud user so haven’t beta tested.

January 21Jan 21 It looks good, but it would look even better without those large borders on the side.

January 21Jan 21 But the .i-wrapper { max-width: 1800px } could be removed so the background colors stretch without the content.

January 21Jan 21 By the way: can we maybe increase the font size a bit (here)? I think it got even smaller compared to the 4.x default, which I also find too small. I’m in the reading glasses age now. Edited January 21Jan 21 by opentype

January 22Jan 22 It’s not. It’s a normal reading size (or slightly below) and a pretty good compromise. And the larger size is limited to the main text, which is also a good way to do it. I could still quibble about the line length, but I save it. ;-)
January 29Jan 29 I'm looking forward to the upgrade. How long more can we run on V4 on cloud before we have to upgrade. I'm hoping to wait until the summer, end of June 25, is this feasible?

There will be further announcements once we have entered the different tiers of EOL (no new features > only security updates > no support). Then there will be an announcement for migration to version 5 for Cloud clients at some point in that mix or after. It just really depends. We will give as much advanced warning as possible.
February 3Feb 3 When checking server requirements for v5 I get the information that some of my database tables are not using InnoDB.When checking my database tables for my Community I can see that it consists of 199 tables. Might there be some forum tables that were used by old versions of "IP-Board" that are no longer needed, so I might be able to skip them when switching to InnoDB?
February 3Feb 3 I would probably move tables that are not related to your site. But if you are not sure, you should change them all to INNODB
