We have the problem that alerts were sent to users from a webmaster account during maintenance work that cannot be dismissed.

These alerts need to be responded to.

Now the webmaster account from which the alerts were sent has since been deleted, and the user cannot dismiss the alert. How can we solve this problem? Screenshots are attached.

Switch to an unmodified language pack and theme then try again

You could also try deleting the alert from the moderator CP. As long as the alert is removed the users won't see it.

The "respond" option shouldn't apply anymore if the account has been deleted, though. That sounds like a bug.

The "alert_cant_dismiss" language string is indeed missing in v4 & v5. I have just added it for an upcoming release and I'm looking now at the other issue.

Edit: Yes, I can confirm that this is a bug.

Thank you for the quick response! When can we expect the update?

We are unable to give specific times for bug fixes unfortunately. However I can see that a fix has been produced and is awaiting review, so it will likely be in the next release of the software. Again Im unable to give a specific date for that, other than to say I would expect that to arrive quite soon

@Marc do you have news for the release when we can expect it?

This is still an open issue. I'm afraid, we cannot supply an ETA on it.
